June 26th at 4:30am Josh and I woke up and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom was at our house so Payton and Scarlett stayed with them at the house. We left the house about 5:15am and headed to the hospital in Modesto.
I had to have a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks because I had placenta previa. The doctors did not want me to go into labor at all. I had no complications my whole pregnancy so I didn't really think it was as serious of an issue as it really is.
I got to the hospital and got all checked in. Josh and I stayed in the prep room for about 4 hours before they finally wheeled me into the operating room. We were there for so long because we needed to wait for another lady to deliver her baby first before they could start on me.
They had Josh get all dresses and ready for the surgery.
They had Josh get all dresses and ready for the surgery.
I sat in the surgery room for about 30 minutes before they started because we initially were waiting for the anesthesiologist, then once he got there and was ready to start with me the doctor got a call and went running out of the surgery room. There was another lady in one of the labor and delivery rooms who's baby's heart rate dropped. A few other people left the room, so of course we had to sit there and wait until they came back. They were back in the room within 15 minutes. Then they began. Josh was brought into the room and he sat to the side of me and healed my hand. He did look to see what was occurring every so often, but once Mckinley was out he was with her nonstop.
For the most part everything went well. I did lose quite a bit of blood, but didn't need a blood transfusion. The doctors were prepared for the worse since I had placenta previa. I really had no idea what they were doing most the time. I could feel the pressure of them moving me and leaning on me and things, but it was no big deal.
Josh was able to cut the rest of the umbilical cord off once they had Mckinley in her little bed area.
These are here mug shots! I just think they are funny! Mckinley weighed in at 7lbs. 7oz. 20 and a quarter inch long!
First picture of me holding Mckinley! She is perfect! Having a baby brings a lot of emotions. Josh and I both were teary eyed! We are definitely proud parents!
Frist bath in the hospital! Josh said she was so good. She didn't even cry!
A little better picture of the 3 of us while I was in the recovery room!
The nurse insisted that she have a bow on her hat so everyone knew she was a girl! It was cute, but also funny!
By late afternoon Josh had gone and gotten Payton and Scarlett at Krista's house. They were so excited to come and meet Mckinley! We video taped them coming into the room. They were both so excited! Scarlett had the biggest smile on his face! Payton was super excited. They wanted to hold her immediately.
Not the best picture, but our first picture of our 3 kids!
First family picture!!!
I am the worlds luckiest mom to be so blessed with these 3 amazing children on God.
Mckinley
Adoring baby Mckinley!
Great Grandma Crane came to the hospital and visited with us. My cousin Melanie brought her out to visit! I was so glad she did this! I am very lucky to have both my grandma's still alive. I love they my kids know who they are!
Many attempts to get pictures of our 3 kids together!
Payton is a very proud big brother!!! He is so sweet and loving to Mckinley. He asks to hold her all the time!
I love all my kids so much!
A very proud dad!!!
Luckily everything went well and we were able to leave after lunch on Thursday. The kids kept asking when we would be able to bring Mckinley home. Of course before we let we got our "nice" meal. It really wasn't anything to rave about. Josh will tell you the fruit and salad were the best. I just figure its hospital food!
We were so glad to come home!!! I missed Payton and Scarlett a ton. I was glad to be home and be able to rest! It's been a week now since I had Mckinley and I am slowly getting better everyday! I have a ton of help so its been easy dealing with the kids! Josh is a champ!

She looks like she already has some sass about her!! So cute! I don't know if this will help you or if you even care but I found the best thing after a c-section is to wear compression nylons. I had to wear them for my varicose vein during Blake's pregnancy and continued to wear them after and they were awesome! They held together that whole area that has been worked on so that you can move and walk much more normal. And they are thin so you can fit into your clothes unlike the big huge bands they sometimes give after a c-section. They are seriously the best thing I've ever had after a c-section...too bad I didn't know about them until my fourth! Congratulations!
Congrats mal! You and josh make very cute babies. Hope you recover quickly from that c-section.
Congrats to you all! Babies are the best . I wish we lived nearer.
