Pictures! It's been a while

Last week Josh had to go back to work after being off for the last three in a half weeks. While Josh was a work the three of us went on with our lives. We went to playgroup at the park. It's not very far from our house so we walked. I pushed Scarlett in her stroller and Payton rode his bike. He did such an amazing job. He never once complained.

Almost to the park! He loves wearing any of my sunglasses
Playing!
Scarlett just slept through most of the fun.

When we got home, we walked up to the door and found a package. Payton was so excited when I told him it was for him and Scarlett. My sister and her husband had sent a package for them. They both got lots of fun things. My sister sure spoiled them.

Scarlett just being cute and hanging out while her brother enjoyed the package.

These are a few cute pictures of Payton and Scarlett

Photo Shoot

Yesterday a friend of mine came over and took some amazing pictures of Scarlett and we had her do some with the family and with big brother. The family and big brother ones were hard. Payton did not want to have his picture taken so the pictures are mostly of Scarlett. She did such a great job. She is just teaching her self and has just started learning. I think she did an amazing job.

Visits with the Grandparents

Having a baby definitely has it's perks. These past two weeks Josh, Payton, and I have been so spoiled. We have had dinner made, our house cleaned, and pretty much had every need met. I have been able to relax, play games, visit with family, and have just been able to be as lazy as I want. I appreciate my parents, my mother in law, and friends for all that they have done for me and my family. Thank you guys so much!!!!

This is Scarlett with her Great Grandma Cambra

Payton wasn't really wanting to take pictures. He would much rather watch his movie. (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs)
I think Scarlett's face is funny here. Infants are just so precious!

Payton is the best. I just love him to pieces. He is definitely my big boy!

Josh loves his baby girl and his big boy. Having the two kids has definitely changed things in our house. We are all adjusting but it's all for the best. Josh and I couldn't be any prouder of our family. We feel so very blessed and are so grateful to our Heavenly Father for allowing these two precious kids into our lives.

Picture Update

I know my family is always anxious to see more pictures, so most my posts are for them to see the updates of both the kiddos. They are both doing so good. Payton usually does really well with her. He is a good big brother.

What a silly kid eating the top roman noodles before I even got a chance to cook them.

Our first attempt to a family picture, but as you can see Payton didn't want to cooperate and he an I had our eyes closed. Lovely! We will get a good one soon.

Payton and Scarlett

Just cute pictures of Payton and Scarlett. Payton is improving every day with her. He loves her to pieces and wants to help out. He is such a good big brother.  He like to tell people that she is his baby sister. I can tell he will be very protective of her once they get older.

Being Home

We got to come home Tuesday night which I was so relieved about. I really don't love being at the hospital. The beds really are not that comfortable, the food isn't the greatest, and the nurses are annoying when they wake you up in the middle of the night and make you feel bad that your baby hasn't eat in over 3 hours.  Over all the hospital stay really wasn't bad. All the mid wife's and nurses we dealt with where very nice and took care of us. But it is SO NICE to be home.
Scarlett is doing great. Payton is slowly getting used to her. The first night he did ask when baby sister was going to go home, but the next morning when he woke up he asked me where she was. He is still learning to be soft with her and be more careful around her, but he's getting there. He has decided though that everything is HIS and he doesn't want to share anything with anyone. He tells me all the time when is dad or grandparents do something that upset him. Like grandpa moved his chair a smidgen, grandma touched his hair, and his dad pushed him over. I would say he is a little bit sensitive, and afraid everything is going to be taken from him. He will learn I hope and as time goes on he will get better.

Ready to leave the hospital
Payton meeting his sister and wanting to help put her shoe back on.

My little family all asleep one night.

Scarletts first bath!

Payton enjoyed watching baby sister get her bath and wanted to help get her lotion on. He also loves watching her get her diaper changed.

Payton trying to put her head-band on her head.

Very Sweet!

Sometimes he likes to hold baby sister and give her kisses, but after a few seconds he starts getting a little too rough with her.

She is just so precious! One of these days I will get a cute picture of her and Payton when he decides to be good.

Scarlett is here!

We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter Scarlett Lucile yesterday March 1, 2010 at 2:54pm. She weighed 8 pounds, and was 20 inches long. We are currently at the hospital waiting to hopefully go home today sometime. Payton has not yet met her cause he can't come to the hospital, so of course we are both so anxious to go home so we can see him and he can meet his little sister.
Right before we left to go to th hospital late Sunday nite.
 Welcome Scarlett!

She is very sweet!

Two very proud grandparents who were able to drive 11 hours to get here and made it to see the birth of their second grandchild. Only 4 more months and they will be proud grandparents of 3. You are next Stef! We love you and you will do great!
