I might actually make it

So for those that aren't aware. I am currently training for a half marathon. It is August 9th in Provo, Utah. I am running with my sister, brother in law, and his 2 friends. I really am not very good at staying on my schedule of runs, so for me these past 3 weeks I have honestly ran a total of 6 days.  I knew though, that I had to be able to go and run 7 miles today. So, Josh woke me up when he got home at 5:45 am, but I slept till 6:00 am, but then got up. I got myself already and just went for it. I knew for sure it would be over an hour of a run, so I wanted to make sure Payton would sleep for Josh. I left about 6:20 am and just ran. I ran all around our neighborhood, plus out a little ways. I read my pedometer at 2.5, 3.5, 4.8, 6.1, then 7. I couldn't believe I actually made it the whole time without walking once. It took my 1 hour and 20 minutes. I was very excited. I actually don't feel too bad right now either. 

Of course I got home, went up stairs and saw Payton asleep with Josh. I woke Josh he said Payton just barely fell back asleep and had been awake for a while. So much for hoping her would sleep the whole time. But at least I got my run in!

Washing the car

On Monday morning Payton and I were out washing the pathfinder. Josh was at work, so I figured Payton couldn't just hang out in the garage on a blanket and play with toys. While I was washing the car he thought it would be fun to come over by me and play in the water that was dripping from the car. A few times he had crawled a little bit under the front of the car, but it was no big deal cause I could reach him and pull him out. He was so dirty and wet, but was having lots of fun each rocks, bark and dirt. A little while later I was working on drying the car. I could hear Payton making noise and starting to get unhappy. I walked around the car and couldn't see him. I got down on my hands and knees and saw him trying to sit up underneath in the middle of the car. He was getting mad because he kept hitting his head. I couldn't help but laugh. I dragged him out and he was just fine. 

Josh's 27th Birthday

As you can see from the pictures Josh had a good birthday. He got some shirts, a jigsaw, gi-joes, and a new machine thing for his super nintendo  games. We had in-n-out for lunch and he got a double chocolate cake. He did have to work last night, but he didn't mind. Thank you everyone for all the calls, and e-mails.

Payton just keeps changing

Payton is now 8 months old. Sometimes it feels like just yesterday I had him and I was trying to learn how to be a mom. But, anyways... just in these last 3 weeks Payton has changed and grown so much. He is now able to crawl, scoot, roll around, sit on his own from being on his stomach, pull himself to a standing position against an object, he can feed himself self with his hands of course, hold his bottle and drink while sitting up, and has learned to get around a lot faster.

About 2 weeks ago Payton was acting so grumpy so we assumed he was getting his 4th tooth on the bottom of his mouth. He had just got his 3rd on the right side, so of course we thought for sure the left side was coming now. Well... he got over his grumpiness and I didn't think a thing about it again. So two days ago he and I were playing and I noticed his teeth and thought to myself that 4th one hasn't come yet how weird. So I wondered how the top was coming along since he hasn't gotten either of those yet.  I put my finger in his mouth and was  completely shocked. His top 2 teeth had come in. I had no idea. I guess that explains why he was so grumpy a week ago. So now my little boy has 5 teeth.

Bad Parents

So this morning we had stake conference. I had just woken Josh up and laid Payton on the bed next to him and said watch him, I will be right back. So I was in my closet finding a shirt to wear today and I heard this loud noise. I came running out and as I got to the bed I saw that Payton had fallen off and Josh was grabbing him because he had started screaming. I grab Payton from Josh we walked around for a few minutes and he finally calmed down. That will be the last time I trust Josh with him. The problem was Josh had fallen back asleep and Payton can now move around so he saw something on the ground and he went for it, head first. I guess it has to happen to everyone.

We bought our first home

It was October of 2007 and I was about to have a baby any day. Josh and I decided to move into our first brand new home.  We were in our home for about a week and then Payton came into our lives. Our home is 2100 square feet, 4 bedrooms, and 2.5 baths. We just absolutely love it.
