One of my families traditions is to go bowling and have pizza on Christmas Eve. But, this year we didn't get to go bowling. Instead we went to John's Incredible Pizza Co. and ate pizza and played games. We had a good time. There wasn't a ton of people so Payton got to run around and have a blast looking at everything.

Shooting Range
This last week while my family was here Josh took us shooting. I had never even held a gun before so this was all new to me. My dad, brother, sister, and my brother in law all had a good time shooting the guns. I have to admit I don't love shooting guns... they are quite scary to me actually, but it was a learning experience for me.
All in all we enjoyed shooting and laughed at how bad my sister and I did. No one got seriously injured, BUT my dad did end up with a band-aid on his head.
He went to shoot his first shot on the rifle and his head was too close to the scope and after he shot the gun it hit him in the head. He didn't think much of it until he was done and he turned around to my brother and my brother said, "what did you do, you have blood all over your head, stop trying to rub it away." So, we all had a good laugh because my dad looked pretty funny with the band-aid, but no stitches were required and he is just fine. He will just have a scare there forever now. None of us will ever forget this christmas event!

Christmas w/ the Cambra Family
We have had such a fun time with all Mals family here for christmas. We got so many fun gifts, ate TONS, played games, laughed a lot, and just got to enjoy each other. We got to talk with both Mals brothers whom are serving missions and that was fun. One is in Mexico and the other is in Ecuador. They are both doing great. Payton has loved having his grandparents, aunt and two uncles here in California this past week. He has learned a few more words like... more, hi, bye, and thank you.

I am obsess with our SON
Sometimes I feel like all I do is take pictures of Payton and post news of the things that he does. I just feel like Payton is growing and changing all the time. He mimics Josh and I and He loves to say "HI" and BYE". Josh and I just love having him in our lives. The joy is overwhelming. I am so excited for these next two weeks. Both Josh and I are going to be able to see our parents, all our siblings [Josh's 12, and Mal's 5] (minus our brothers on their missions, 3 in total), all our in-laws, and all our nieces and nephews.
We feel so very blessed.

Surgery is a 98% chance
About two weeks ago Josh went and played football with some friends from church. About 45 minutes after he left I got a call from him saying he was on his way to the emergency room. He thinks he may have torn something in his knee. The emergency doc didn't do much for him except tell him he has to wear this huge brace and use the crutches. He gave him so vicadin for the pain. Josh was then told he had to set an appointment with an orthopedic specialist. We finally went and saw the specialist a week later. Which was this past monday. The doc told us he thinks he tore his ACL and it's pretty much a definite that he will need surgery. He doesn't have to use the crutches anymore and he got a smaller brace that allows him to move and bend his knee a little better. He isn't in much pain which is good. He had an MRI monday and we will find out the definite results on new years eve. Till now he is on the waiting list for surgery and we are hoping he will have that done the end of January or the beginning of February. But, till then that is all we know so I will keep people updated.
