Grandma Time/Silly Kids/Ports Game

This past weekend we had the privilege of having family in town from Utah. Grandma and Grandpa Cambra, Jared, Ashley and Ada. We took time to go and visit both of my grandma's. My grandma Tani  lives with my dad's cousin Ann. We had a nice visit with the both of them. Josh was working so he wasn't able to go with us. We did see Grandma Sam but once again I forgot to get pictures with her.
Scarlett playing with a paper cup Grandma Tani's. The 3 kids colored paper cups and paper bowls. For some reason they enjoyed that activity.
Great Grandma Tani with Scarlett!
Jared, Grandma Tani, Ada and Ashley. This was the first time Grandma Tani met both Ashley and Ada.
Grandma Tani, Me, Scarlett and Payton
Grandma Tani is my dad's mom. Here are my parents with her!
The group, minus Payton. He was being a stinker and wouldn't take a picture. I feel very blessed to have both of my grandma's still alive and doing well. They of course have their ups and downs, but over all they are in good health.
Payton and Ada in the car showing off their cups that they colored inside of.
During the many times we were in and out of the car Payton noticed their was a sun roof. He kept asking if he could look out the sun roof. I had decided to let him and Ada look out when we were on the street to our house. They both loved it and thought it was the best thing ever.

They both just waved and waved as my dad drove down the street! They were very cute!
It was raining off and on throughout the day and at one point it had started hailing. We told the kids they need to go outside and check it out. We told them it was raining rocks. They thought it was the best thing ever. Payton was little disappointed that they melted away quickly once it stopped.
Payton and Ada loved playing together! Those two never once fought, but they did cause some mischief  when they played. At one point they were out playing in the garage. They were very happy out there, but after quite a while Payton starts coming in the house and looking for various things. He came in and got a flash light, and then some scissors. A bit later he came in with blue hands and headed to the bathroom to wash him hands. When I saw this I knew I needed to get up and go see what was going on. I looked out into the garage and these two had created what looked like a crime scene in the garage. There was blue chalk dust everywhere, a box of nails emptied on to the ground, tape stuck onto the car and onto the ground, the flash light laying on the ground on directed at a line of chalk, and many other random things that they had found and pulled out. I could not help but laugh and think what in the world. I then had to take some pictures, and got everyone else to come look and see what they had done.

I knew that they had a ton of fun. When asked how started this Ada showed us her hands and said "see I didn't do the chalk mess", I had to hold my laugh in. Payton of course had his hands covered in the chalk. I knew they had done it together, and really didn't care a whole ton. I couldn't get mad at them. They are kids and were just playing. We made them clean it all of though. They worked together and used the shop vacuum to pick it all up.
Working together to clean up their mess. There are many things in life that I feel can get my kids into a lot of trouble, but this event was not one of them. I am slowly learning to pick and choose my battles. They did a great job cleaning up and I know they had a blast playing.
We all piled into the car and headed to the Stockton Ports game. Josh, Me, Jared and Ashley framed into the middle row and the 3 kids squished into the back seat.
Payton wore this paper bowl on his head. It was one of the bowls that he and ada had colored during our visit with my grandma.
The ports game was a lot of fun. Mom, Jared, and Ashley
It was dry for the first little bit, then it began to rain. We had been prepared for the rain so we just sat it out. Eating our snacks before the rain came in.
Me with Ada and Payton! Josh with Scarlett. This was after the rain had stopped and the game started back up. We each got a bit wet, but had a good time anyways.
I took Payton and Ada for a walk around the stadium. They loved that. Most people had left and so it was very empty everywhere!
Ada and Payton with the Stockton Ports mascot! I believe his name is Splash!
Messing around and try to keep themselves entertained during the game!
"Ada Burger" Its so fun to have her in out family. She is the sweetest little girl and she fits in perfectly!
A family picture! The pink and blue that you see on the side of Payton is Scarlett hugging Payton.
Payton had gotten this baseball from a guy and he was very excited about that. These 3 had a ton of fun together. I look forward to when we get together with my whole family because I know then Scarlett and Sofia will play and then Payton and Ada will play. These kids are very lucky to have cousins SO close in age!

Update!

I am 27 weeks along! I feel like a bad mom because I haven't really posted any pictures if at all of this pregnancy! I know I have mentioned it, but not sure if there have been many pictures! This is where I am at right now. I know I don't look big and everyone tells me I am small, but just because I look small doesn't mean that I am comfortable. I definitely hold my babies a lot inside. The doctors always think the baby will be small, but I have large babies! I feel the baby everywhere now. She kicks all over! By the end of the day I am just so uncomfortable and need to lay down. Usually I relax on the couch after 9:00pm and this little girl thinks its time to play. She is so active at that time. I can lay on my back and watch my stomach make crazy movements. The kids haven't really felt her, but they don't have the patience to wait. Josh feels her every so often. Over all I can not complain about anything. I am doing good. Growing all the time! These next 13 weeks I know will fly by.

Easter

We began our Easter festivities on Friday night. We had a picnic dinner in our front room and watched a movie with the kids. Saturday morning we woke up and colored easter eggs. After we enjoyed the beautiful weather outside, then we headed out for the rest of the day as a family. It was a very nice family day. I feel like we haven't had a whole Saturday to ourselves in forever. It was some much needed time as a family!
Both Payton and Scarlett just adore their dad. Every day that he is at work I hear, "mom, I miss daddy". Besides working all the time Josh has been taking two class online for school (he is working on getting his bachelor's degree), and he has scouts every Tuesday night. His homework load this past semester has been a lot. He spent a good two nights after work having to do homework each week. It was definitely a long 3.5 months. He just finished the semester on Friday so we get him for a good week before the next semester starts. We all love when he has free time to play and just hang out. The kids thrive for his attention whenever he is home.
Before we started coloring the eggs we got a few shots of the kids. Payton was super excited. Scarlett didn't really know what was going to be happening.
Being silly!
Keeping it simple!
I wouldn't not let the kids touch their eggs with their fingers. I hate when their fingers are colored for a few days it drives me crazy. They didn't seem to mind using the spoons.
I did let Payton touch them sometimes, but he had to wipe his fingers off right away. My craziness worked though. Neither one of them had colored fingers! Plus, they still had a blast!
Sunday morning we headed down stairs to check out what the easter bunny had brought. The kids were very excited about their baskets.
Showing us every thing that they had in their baskets!
After going through their baskets they went around the house searching for the eggs. It took Scarlett it a while to get the hang of it, but she figured it out.
Looking all around the family room for the eggs!
They each found a bunch of eggs all over!
Showing off their eggs they had found!
Happy Easter 2012!
I love these 3!!! I am a lucky woman!
Our family picture! It was still early in the morning!
Scarlett and Payton both love loves ring pops. I think it reminds Scarlett of her pacifier, but mostly I am sure its cause it's candy, you get to wear it on your finger, and it lasts for a long time.
Attempts of family pictures right after church! Being silly like always!
I figured out the self timer on my camera. The nice thing is that it has were it will take 3 pictures right in a row. I loved that because I knew we would hopefully get one good picture with everyone smiling, and IT WORKED! A family picture were we are all smiling and we look cute!
Easter Sunday was a blast! Payton and Scarlett both gave me hugs through out the day and told me, "thank you for such a fun easter". We made sure to watch a few video's about the Savior and the Resurrection. We got to skype with Jared, Ashley, Ada, Grandma and Grandpa. Josh made a yummy ham for dinner. Over all the weekend was very nice, relaxing, and fun! I am grateful for the holidays that come so we can reflect on Our Savior Jesus Christ. I know he lived, died and was resurrected! As the years keep flying by I look forward to the many more Easters that we will have as a family!
