Pride Award

Today Payton had Trimester 1 assembly. We recieved an email from his teacher last week letting us know he would be getting an award so we should come. Josh got home from work this morning and stayed awake to go to Payton's school for the assembly at 8:30am. He was super tired and had a hard time staying awake but Payton loved that his dad could come also.
We waited anxiously as they went through the kindergarten and first grade classes. Finally it was second grade. Payton's class was the last to go though. The went through all the attendance awards and then they had their Pride Awards. These Pride Awards are given by the teacher. She picks 5 students and picks something about them that stands out to her. Payton was #5 to be called up today. He received his Pride Award for "academic excellence in all subjects and areas". We are very proud of Payton he is just excelling in school and loves it which as a parent you couldn't ask for anything better.

I just can't get over how quickly he is growing and changing all the time. My little boy isn't so little anymore. I am a very proud momma!

Random

Friday night we were able to go on a group date night with our good friends. We went to dinner and then saw Mocking Jay.
 Us girls!
 My amazing date!

A few random pictures from my phone that I just had to put on my blog.
My mom is the one on the right in this picture. It's a picture of her and her good friend Grace from when they were younger.
My goofy kids showing off two scarfs I made
Can't forget this girl alone. I love this scarf on her that I made. Mckinley just makes me laugh sometimes with her silly faces.
Lastly I haven't posted a picture in a long time about my amazing sister in law from her mission in Taiwan. Kelsey is doing amazing. I love her and miss her tons!

In the last 6 days!

Mckinley always has an interesting hairstyle by the end of the day!

We spent a lot of time cleaning our house and these kids were all very helpful so we took them out for a treat!
 They love playing games!
Payton's end of the soccer season party. I didn't get a very good picture!
These two are goofy. Sometimes Kin loves her dad other times she wants nothing to do with him and only wants me.
Saturday we went as a family to visit the Sacramento temple. It was a day my entire extended family decided was a good day to go and reflect upon my cousin Perry's life on this earth. Saturday was is birthday and he unexpectedly passed away a month ago. It was very heart warming to be able to go and just feel the spirit. I know my cousin is in a much better place and his happy being with our aunt and grandpa.

We walked around the temple and then found a spot to sit and talk with the kids. Josh did an amazing job explaining  to the kids why we were there and the importance of the temple. We had a family prayer that I sad. I couldn't hold it together. I just felt so blessed and overwhelmed with the feelings of losing a cousin. It was nice to be able to say the prayer though and express my feelings.
I sure do love my family!

 Playing in the leaves

After the temple we did a little christmas chopping and eat some dinner then headed to the Kings basketball game. The kids were super excited to go!

Payton was super into the game like his dad. He knew everything that was going on. Scarlett watched here and there. Mckinley did not care at all.
The Kings WON!!! It was a fun game to watch!
Payton loves leaving his pajama shirt unbuttoned. It cracks me up!
We enjoyed our "Friendsgiving" with the Drinkwater's and the Toutai's. We are very blessed to have such great friends in our lives. They are family to us!
Sleeping pictures are just the best. Mckinley is super cute and likes to sneak into our bed sometimes. It's been a fun 6 days and we definitely stay busy!

Baby #4

Back at the end of July I ran my 2nd half marathon and we bought a car all in the same day. That next morning I decided to take a pregnancy test and it was positive. I was a little shocked, but excited all the same. I told Josh and kept it a secret for a little bit. Slowly the word went out to our family and friends. I was super sick and tired till week 13. It was really rough. I didn't do anything around the house. I didn't make dinner and I just wanted to sleep all the time. I kept telling Josh how much I don't love being pregnant for those reasons.
This was taken at about week 7.
We went in for the ultra sound at 20 weeks. We were very excited to find out what we were having. Payton really wanted a brother and the girls wanted either one. When we went to pick up the kids from Krista's house Mel was there waiting to hear what the baby is. The kids were very excited to be told. When we said it is a GIRL Payton asked at least 2 times if we were serious. He then kept saying lets leave. I could tell he was upset. Josh took him outside and Payton lost it. He was crying. He really wanted a brother. I felt so bad for him. He is better now that it has been a couple of days. The girls were excited and can't wait for a little sister.
Baby Girl is due March 29th 2015. We can't wait for her to come and join or crazy family.

Trick or treating

The after math of trick or treating. We were all tired of walking
Our pumpkins all turned out great!

Enjoying each other!
Eating Chinese food!
We got to watch Payton's soccer team play in two tournaments Saturday morning.

Hanging around being lazy on our last night together!

We got some energy and decided to use the rest of our sparklers we had from the 4th of July. The kids loved this.

Then we did a little pumpkin bowling with our pumpkins!
Mckinley was not into the sparklers. They scared her. Tana kept her warm and happy!
The week was a blast. We ate a lot, played, drove a lot, chatted, and got little sleep. Those all put together make for an amazing visit with family.
