Lots & Lots of PICTURES from our Utah Trip

This is a pretty delayed post, but I just haven't had the time to do it. When we went to Utah two weeks ago we got to go with my family to Bear Lake for 2 days. We had so much fun... and Payton of course just got spoiled rotten. He got to ride on a jet ski for the first time ever, he got to play in the sand, he got to eat watermelon and oreos, he got to ride on these bike things, and many other things. As you can tell from the pictures it was so much fun and relaxing.

Josh and Dawson twinners!

yummy...oreos

We rented these bikes that hooked together... so it just looked like a big long train. Many people stopped and stared at us. We even had a guy stop his car in the road get out and took a picture of us all. Quite embarrassing!

Payton was tired from all the hard work he had to do. Wait... we didn't have to do anything!

Payton didn't really like the life jacket, but he sure enjoyed eating sand. He was a little unsure about the water also. He didn't mind the jet ski ride with his mom and dad though.

5 years

Today is our 5 year anniversary. I can still remember the first day we met. We met in Rexburg, Idaho. We happened to live in the same complex and we ended up being in the same family home evening group. We hit it off pretty quick. It was my third semester at BYU-Idaho and Josh was a return missionary. We dated for 2 months until we got engaged (even though we knew after 2 weeks) and were married 6 months later.  Our families all thought we were crazy because it was so quick and he was 21 and I was 19. But, I have to say it has been the best decision I have every made. Josh is my love. I look back at everything we have been through so far and wouldn't change any of it. We have grown so much together and I know we will continue to as the years keep going on and as your family continues to grow.

I DID IT!

I know everyone has been wondering if i made it...Well... I made it!
I completed my first half marathon this past Saturday and it felt GREAT. I really had a good time running with my sister. Her husband and some of their friends also ran with us, but we didn't all stay together (they were faster than us). It took us 2 hours and 24 minutes. We didn't have to walk too much, but I did have to drag my sister the last 2 miles.

Dawson (brother-in-law), Stef (sister), Me after the race was all over.
This was near the beginning, you can see there were a lot of people.
 I would say over 1000.
Very crowded the first 4 miles
This is me looking back on where we had ran. We had to run on the high way for 2.5 miles because of the fires they had in the provo canyon a week before.
This is at the bottom before we ran up the highway

This is at 4:30 am before the race.

1 week and counting

Today I am exactly 1 week away from the big day. If you don't know what that big day is it is the Provo Canyon 1/2 marathon. I am getting a little nervous, but can definitely say I am more excited to get it over with.
With the big day a week away I decided today to go for a long run. The most I had ran up to yesterday was 10 miles. So, I knew I wanted to try and do 11 or 12. Last night I mapped my run out on the internet so I knew where I needed to go in order to run so long.
My morning began at 5:30 am. Josh had just came home from work and he said to me, "how far are you going today". I told him 11 or 12. He said "have fun with that". I left a little before 6 am and just went for it. I felt pretty good, and knew I would make it. I just ran and kept running. I ran 12 miles in 2 hours and 10 minutes. I do have to say though, that by the time I got to mile 10.5 I felt like my legs weighed so much. It seemed like a lot of work to keep lifting my legs up. But I made it, and didn't die.
So, my feelings about saturday are, 13.1 miles no big deal!
