A couple NORMAL days

Life here in our home is pretty basic. We sleep, eat, be lazy, play, love wearing our pajamas, and enjoying hanging with friends whenever we can. I love weekends when we nothing planned. Especially after having so many busy weekends in a row. We get to wake up whenever and get things done around the house since Josh is home to help. We love weekends the most because Josh doesn't usually work. He has done a few days here and there lately, but we have survived and it makes us just enjoy those times together when he is home.
The kids eating breakfast on a Saturday morning. These 3 kids ADORE Josh. They are always wanting him to play with them, wrestle with them, or just snuggle them. Mckinley is talking so much lately. She has the cutest little voice. She definitely thinks she can do anything her siblings can do. She gets so excited when Josh gets home each night. She runs to the door and yells, "daddy!" She will then lead him to each of us and make sure he gives us all our kiss and says hi. It's so fun watching her excitement!
Since I had a little free time on Saturday I was able to get a little project done that I have been wanting to do. I was able to figure out a way to display the kids papers/projects they are constantly bringing home from church and school. Payton insisted on being in the picture.
I just can't get over how amazing the weather has been this winter. I know I shouldn't love it so much but I do. I am worried about the fact that we have had no rain and we are now in a drought. I am trying to be a better mom and spend more quality time with my kids. They are getting older and are able to do more fun things. I am trying to get them to ride bikes, or play catch, or play board games more. I have to admit its hard when they are small because the games especially are SO BORING. Now that Payton is 6 and Scarlett is 3 they both are understanding games way better so we have more options. It's nice too cause Scarlett is the one that loves to be outside and Payton is the opposite, but Scarlett is a huge help to get us all to go out and play. I must say I love babies, but I love even more having my kids a little more older and more independent. Life is just a little easier!
My kids and their cheese face! They crack me up and I truly love spending time with them. I wish I had more time and less real life responsibilities to stress about, but you make do and just do your best!
The kids love this game. Sequence For Kids. Scarlett doesn't quite get the concept, but it's still fun to play with her.
Our life is fairly simple and I love that. My have our health and I am grateful every day for that. The kids are growing, learning and thriving in life. Josh and I couldn't be any prouder of each of them. We love being parents even though it has its rough times. Our life is blessed and we are extremely gratefully to be members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

Payton's Award

Payton's school had an awards assembly for the first trimester. The teacher had sent out an email to all the parents of students who were receiving an award. The girls and I were able to go to the assembly and see him receive his award.
These are all the kids that received the award "excellent attendance". They could only have 1 mark on their attendance record. I think this award shows more on the parents behalf than the student at this age. I am the one making sure Payton is always on time for school and I don't let him miss for any reason. Never the less he received this award and got it presented to him in front of his class and the parents. It's a big deal for him. (he is the 3rd kid from the left)
Showing off his award to me!
A few of his friends from his class. These boys are silly and I am really enjoying helping any chance I get so that I can get to know his friends. I just want him to be surrounded by good kids. It's fun watching him interact with the kids and seeing a different side of him that I don't always see here at home. He is growing up so fast; it's weird!

A New Year

The year has started with an event.
Payton lost his 1st top tooth! He was brushing his teeth and it fell out. He was pretty excited about it. He told us that kids in his class are getting $20 for a tooth. I just can't believe that. That is a ton of money per tooth!
Scarlett loves play make-up. She got a fake cell phone that was filled with all types of lip glosses. She loves it. Mckinley wishes she could open it!
Scarlett insists on having pictures of just her taken!
This picture is a little embarrassing. This is a part of my bedroom. It's not my favorite room in the house, but it works! Josh received this fat head for christmas so of course he had to put it up next to his GI Joe section in our room. My room is definitely not on my priority list because it is a room I am hardly ever in and no one sees it.
I celebrated my 30th birthday on the 13th. It was a very nice day! Got to go to lunch with Krista and we came back to the house and played a game with Scarlett. That night we had dinner and cake and watched a movie as a family. It was nice just being with my family. I loved skypeing/facetiming with my brothers and sisters and nieces and nephews. I received lots of phone calls and texts. I am very loved and I appreciated it all!
Mckinley ended up getting sick the night after my birthday. We had to get Payton to school the following day and I had given her milk to drink. I was worried she wouldn't keep it down so I had her hold a bowl in the car. She held it for about 5 minutes then dropped it. Luckily though we had no problems and by mid day she was better and no one else got sick!!! Hurray! That morning the house still smelled like barf. Payton was very excited to go to school because he couldn't stand the smell. After taking Payton to school we came home and we opened all the windows to air it out. It was pretty cold in the house! Scarlett wanted to be bundled up while she watched a show.
2014 has started off pretty good with a few events!

New Years Eve 2013

New Years Eve we had the privilege of having Kevin and Liz and their kids come and visit. It was so fun having them at our house. Liz had her sister with her also which made it nice having another adult to come and party with us.
We ate lots of different kinds of food. We played games. We celebrated at 9pm and 12am.
The kids loved having special cups and drinks. They  enjoyed blowing the horns and wearing their fun hats and lays.
Jaydn enjoying his drink while Josh cuddles Mckinley.

Mckinley loved the sparkling cider!!!
Happy New Year!!!! Mckinley didn't make it to midnight thats why she's not in the picture.
All these kids made it though!!!
New Years Day playing and having a blast with cousins at our house.
Happy New Year!!!! We are excited to welcome 2014!!!!
2013 was a big year for us full of many changes!!! Over all we are very blessed with great health and happiness!!!
