Mckinley Photo Shoot

Our big 1 year old! My good friend Melanie Toutai took a few shoots of Mckinley for me so that I could at least document her 1 year birthday! She wasn't thrilled so we didn't get a ton of shots, but she did capture lots of Mckinley's cute little faces that she makes. I just love these and appreciate Melanie for taking these pictures and editing them for me. 

Mckinley's 1st Birthday Celebration

We didn't do anything huge for Mckinley's birthday, but we celebrated as a family. We had dinner, open presents, and ate cake. I made chocolate zucchini brownies/cake for her. She loved it! 

Crazy kids! Mckinley definitely got spoiled for her birthday!

My girlies! I feel like they both have their own look and Mckinley looks more like Payton. They are both definitely gorgeous to Josh and I. 

Mckinley got to open 2 gifts first thing in the morning. Scarlett gave her a baby doll that has a pacifier and plays music, and Payton gave her a princess baby that crawls.

Durring the day we headed to the park by our house and let the kids play. The toutai's gave also and the kids had a blast. 

Mckinley liked watching the kids play and she walked around but she didn't love if she actually got wet.

Birthday girl!

She got two birthday cards in the mail from her great grandma's.

Once Josh got home from work Mckinley open the rest of her presents!

She was very cute to watch open her gifts. She would rip a little off then hand that piece of paper off to someone. Payton and Scarlett had a hard time resisting the urge to help her. I think she was just too slow for them and they were so excited for her to see her gifts!

She got a few little toys and then we got her this bike. Its perfect for her. She can sit and ride for now and as she gets bigger parts come off and it will end up being just a tricycle that she can ride on her own. My baby girl is just growing crazy! I doesn't seem like it was a year ago. She is a joy in our family and we each love and adore her so much!!!

Mckinley is 1!

Happy 1st Birthday Mckinley

My Oh My! Where has this last year gone! I can't believe my baby girl is 1 today! 

Me right before we headed to the hospital. I had to have a c-section since I had placenta previa. That was a totally weird and new experience for me. I had never had any type of surgery and I was totally nervous. Everything went smoothly and that was a year ago!

Mckinely 1 day old!

Mckinley 4 days old.

Mckinley 1years old! Dang she has grown into such a sweetheart. Josh calls her his angel.

She totally loves music and loves to dance! She has the sweetest personality. 

Time really needs to slow down. I guess I have no choice my kids are going to keep growing and changing all the time. 

A few facts that I can remember in Mckinley's first year of life

She's gone camping

She got her 1st tooth at 7 months. She currently has the top 4 and the bottom 2

She crawled at 9 months

She stood up at 10ish months

She started walking at 11 months, but officially is walking now

She can say 'momma, dadda'

She can give kisses

She waves goodnight to Payton and Scarlett every night

She stopped breastfeeding cold turkey at 11 months while we were camping

She has never taken a bottle or pacifier

She didn't fully start sleeping through the night till 10 months

She never had formula went straight to whole milk in a sippy cup

She loves squeeze food

She didn't really eat solid food till 7 months

She wears 12 month and 18 month clothes

She only wears a size 2 or 3 shoe

She adores her brother and sister

She gets so excited when dad comes home and walks in the door.

She is our peanut, she weighs about 19lbs and is 29in. tall

She knows what she wants and is learning to be more demanding (lucky us)

She really is a joy and a blessing in our family!

Josh's Birthday

I do what I can to make birthdays a big deal in our family. Josh had his birthday but it's so close to fathers day that its so hard to make them both special. He just says he gets a whole week. Anyways for his birthday he worked all day, rushed home we opened gifts, sang, ate a cupcake, and then he and I head out for a group date with friends. 

Definitely got spoiled by my parents this year. They got his a BB gun. He was super excited.

Payton got him a pocket knife!

Mckinley and I got him a tennis racket and tennis balls.

He also got a food chopper.

He got a few cards in the mail and got money to be used for gi joes. He loved that of course. 

Getting older each year!

Josh is a wonderful dad and the kids adore him. I am a very luck women to have him as my husband. He does so much for our family! Thank you tons, and Happy Birthday Love!
