Weekend in Oroville

A few weeks back we went to Oroville for the weekend. Tracie and Cedar were visiting from Alaska so we had to make sure we went and visited with them. Christy and Rob and their family was there as was Kevin and Liz and their family. It was a quick weekend, but really fun and relaxing. We drove up Saturday morning got the parents house relaxed till Rob and Shae got there then headed to the river so we could float down.
Mckinley all ready to get in the raft and float down the river, I had just finished feeding her so she was passed out.
Typical Scarlett playing in the car while I am feeding Mckinley
Christy and Rob with Carten, Camden and Jaydn. Christy had just jumped in to cool off.
Floating through the tiny rapids
Payton and Josh in our raft as we sit and relax on the river
The crew! We had some slow spots so we connected and kicked back for a little bit and just enjoyed the beauty all around us.
We just love being by family. Even if it was a quick weekend we had a fun time floating and hanging out with family.
Payton braved the cold water and got in for a minute with his cousins.
Chilling in the boat, just relaxing while he enjoys the ride!
Handsome dudes!
After a while Payton got bored and fell asleep in the boat with my sunglasses on. He is such a stud!
Just feeling the water.
Scarlett just adores her dad
Near the end the river wasn't moving very much so we had to paddle our boats. Tracy and Kelsey just figured getting in and swimming to pull the boat was faster.
Hot tubing at grandma and grandpas
These kids don't just hang out in the hot tub, they splash around and treat it like a swimming pool. They love it!
Mckinley chilling in her diaper. It was a hot day!
Cedar is such a chubby!!! She is such a QT!
Mckinley and Cedar laying on the ground!
Tracie really wanted dreadlocks. Mom, Shannon, Kelsey, Liz, and Christy all helped separate her hair into small sections. That took forever. They then began back combing each dread and it just really wasn't what Tracie was wanting. For starters each dread took FOREVER just to back comb and get it right. Doing her whole head would have taken a full day. She knew it would look terrible for a few months, but as they began she realized really how terrible it was. She had to make a decision that for now she still needs to look professional for her job, but that in a few years when she doesn't work anymore she will give it a try again. She did a ton of research about dreads and bought all the special stuff for them. Its been a dream of hers to always have dreadlocks. Till next time!
Thomas (8 months), Cedar (5 Months) and Mckinley (5 weeks)
These little cousins are super cute. We were just missing Raymond (5 months)
These cute little babies will love that they are all so close in age as they get older.
It was a great weekend and we had a blast with the family. We are so glad Tracie and Cedar were able to visit for a few days. We missed John, but hopefully we will see him soon. Living in Alaska makes it hard to come visit all the time. They do a good job of coming so I can't complain.

Fun 10 Days Continued...

The fun continued as we spent another afternoon at a different water park. We got some lunch and headed over to this water park.
They played on the playground for a while before they came and got in the water.
It only took them a few minutes to get used to the water and once they did, they loved it!
Sofia and Scarlett waiting for the water to come back on
Running away from the water
Payton was so fun to watch. He was running all over the place trying to escape the water.
Loving the water!
Scarlett even came in and joined Payton.
Scarlett being silly!
Payton trying to jolt around the water popping out!
Scarlett wanted to take a picture of me to prove that I was there sweating to death!
We made a quick trip to Costco and the kids got some food of course.
Proof that Sofia enjoyed Mckinley and had some time holding her. At the beginning of the week Sofia would start crying every time any of her cousins would cry, but she got over that by the end of the week. She was really good at telling us when Mckinley was crying. Not sure why, but all 3 of these kids hated when Mckinley would cry. They expected us adults to always come running so we could pick her up and stop her from crying.
Aunt Stef with Mckinley!
We headed over to Mickey Grove around lunch time so the kids crashed on the way there!
I do not know how these kids sleep with their heads falling to the side so much!
Stef bought this back pack that has a leash on it so that she could keep track of Sofia. Sofia didn't even care about wearing it. She loved it. I think its super funny, but it worked so I can't make fun.
First thing we did at Mickey Grove is we went and visited the zoo. Its a very small zoo, but it was perfect for the kids. They ran around looking at all the animals and got excited about everything. It was so fun to watch them.
 Checking out the Monkey's
We are now a family of 5. WEIRD!
Like mother like daughter. I love these two. They are both so beautiful!
Checking out the turtles as they walked in and out of their home.
 Sofia waving at the turtle!
We are not the best picture takers, but I love my family and we are good at showing our personalities!
 CHEESE!
Payton, Sofia and Scarlett posing on the turtle
 Enjoying the water turtles
Mckinley was really good all day. She loved being in the carrier and slept a lot!
Not the best pictures ever, but I love these guys!
 Payton and mommy!
 cruising through the zoo
 Sofia, Auntie Mal, and Mckinley
 Checking out the red birds!
I can't remember way this was called, but it was some type of monkey and it looked like a monkey dog. It was weird!
Love Scarlett and Payton's faces in this picture
Sofia's first time on a ride. She was a little unsure at first, but quickly learned to love it!
Payton and Scarlett loved this. Hearing them laughing and having a great time is priceless.
I love that she is waving, but not looking!
Super cute, she had a super fun time
After the car ride they went on these fishes that went up and down while moving in a circle. They had a fun time.
 Two little birds.
After the fishy ride they went and got on this clown airplane. It went up and down while going in a circle, but went a lot higher than the fish one. Payton, Scarlett and Sofia all went in the same airplane. They just laughed and waved as they went around the circle.
The outside of their clown airplane.
 Our 2 goobers!
 Mckinley just chilling on dad.
After walking around the zoo, and riding some rides we took the kids over to the water features. It was later in the evening and so it wasn't crowded at all. It was perfect.
Payton and Scarlett playing and having a good time
Payton in the middle of the water fountains of course.
Water parks are the best on hot hot days!
It was a really fun 10 days. We all loved being together. Its weird to think that I have 3 kids and my sister has 1. Time is flying by and we are getting older all the time. I love you Stef, thanks for coming and bringing Sofia with you.
