A few weeks back we went to Oroville for the weekend. Tracie and Cedar were visiting from Alaska so we had to make sure we went and visited with them. Christy and Rob and their family was there as was Kevin and Liz and their family. It was a quick weekend, but really fun and relaxing. We drove up Saturday morning got the parents house relaxed till Rob and Shae got there then headed to the river so we could float down.
Mckinley all ready to get in the raft and float down the river, I had just finished feeding her so she was passed out.
Typical Scarlett playing in the car while I am feeding Mckinley
Christy and Rob with Carten, Camden and Jaydn. Christy had just jumped in to cool off.
Floating through the tiny rapids
Payton and Josh in our raft as we sit and relax on the river
The crew! We had some slow spots so we connected and kicked back for a little bit and just enjoyed the beauty all around us.
We just love being by family. Even if it was a quick weekend we had a fun time floating and hanging out with family.
Payton braved the cold water and got in for a minute with his cousins.
Chilling in the boat, just relaxing while he enjoys the ride!
Handsome dudes!
After a while Payton got bored and fell asleep in the boat with my sunglasses on. He is such a stud!
Just feeling the water.
Scarlett just adores her dad
Near the end the river wasn't moving very much so we had to paddle our boats. Tracy and Kelsey just figured getting in and swimming to pull the boat was faster.
Hot tubing at grandma and grandpas
These kids don't just hang out in the hot tub, they splash around and treat it like a swimming pool. They love it!
Mckinley chilling in her diaper. It was a hot day!
Cedar is such a chubby!!! She is such a QT!
Mckinley and Cedar laying on the ground!
Tracie really wanted dreadlocks. Mom, Shannon, Kelsey, Liz, and Christy all helped separate her hair into small sections. That took forever. They then began back combing each dread and it just really wasn't what Tracie was wanting. For starters each dread took FOREVER just to back comb and get it right. Doing her whole head would have taken a full day. She knew it would look terrible for a few months, but as they began she realized really how terrible it was. She had to make a decision that for now she still needs to look professional for her job, but that in a few years when she doesn't work anymore she will give it a try again. She did a ton of research about dreads and bought all the special stuff for them. Its been a dream of hers to always have dreadlocks. Till next time!
Thomas (8 months), Cedar (5 Months) and Mckinley (5 weeks)
These little cousins are super cute. We were just missing Raymond (5 months)
These cute little babies will love that they are all so close in age as they get older.
It was a great weekend and we had a blast with the family. We are so glad Tracie and Cedar were able to visit for a few days. We missed John, but hopefully we will see him soon. Living in Alaska makes it hard to come visit all the time. They do a good job of coming so I can't complain.
