Big Day!

June 26th at 4:30am Josh and I woke up and got ready to head to the hospital. My mom was at our house so Payton and Scarlett stayed with them at the house. We left the house about 5:15am and headed to the hospital in Modesto.
I had to have a scheduled c-section at 38 weeks because I had placenta previa. The doctors did not want me to go into labor at all. I had no complications my whole pregnancy so I didn't really think it was as serious of an issue as it really is.
I got to the hospital and got all checked in. Josh and I stayed in the prep room for about 4 hours before they finally wheeled me into the operating room. We were there for so long because we needed to wait for another lady to deliver her baby first before they could start on me.
They had Josh get all dresses and ready for the surgery.
I sat in the surgery room for about 30 minutes before they started because we initially were waiting for the anesthesiologist, then once he got there and was ready to start with me the doctor got a call and went running out of the surgery room. There was another lady in one of the labor and delivery rooms who's baby's heart rate dropped. A few other people left the room, so of course we had to sit there and wait until they came back. They were back in the room within 15 minutes. Then they began. Josh was brought into the room and he sat to the side of me and healed my hand. He did look to see what was occurring every so often, but once Mckinley was out he was with her nonstop.
For the most part everything went well. I did lose quite a bit of blood, but didn't need a blood transfusion. The doctors were prepared for the worse since I had placenta previa. I really had no idea what they were doing most the time. I could feel the pressure of them moving me and leaning on me and things, but it was no big deal.
Josh was able to cut the rest of the umbilical cord off once they had Mckinley in her little bed area.
These are here mug shots! I just think they are funny! Mckinley weighed in at 7lbs. 7oz. 20 and a quarter inch long!
First picture of me holding Mckinley! She is perfect! Having a baby brings a lot of emotions. Josh and I both were teary eyed! We are definitely proud parents!
Frist bath in the hospital! Josh said she was so good. She didn't even cry!
A little better picture of the 3 of us while I was in the recovery room!
The nurse insisted that she have a bow on her hat so everyone knew she was a girl! It was cute, but also funny!
By late afternoon Josh had gone and gotten Payton and Scarlett at Krista's house. They were so excited to come and meet Mckinley! We video taped them coming into the room. They were both so excited! Scarlett had the biggest smile on his face! Payton was super excited. They wanted to hold her immediately.
Not the best picture, but our first picture of our 3 kids!
First family picture!!!
I am the worlds luckiest mom to be so blessed with these 3 amazing children on God.
Mckinley
Adoring baby Mckinley!
Great Grandma Crane came to the hospital and visited with us. My cousin Melanie brought her out to visit! I was so glad she did this! I am very lucky to have both my grandma's still alive. I love they my kids know who they are!
Many attempts to get pictures of our 3 kids together!
Payton is a very proud big brother!!! He is so sweet and loving to Mckinley. He asks to hold her all the time!
I love all my kids so much!
A very proud dad!!!
Luckily everything went well and we were able to leave after lunch on Thursday. The kids kept asking when we would be able to bring Mckinley home. Of course before we let we got our "nice" meal. It really wasn't anything to rave about. Josh will tell you the fruit and salad were the best. I just figure its hospital food!
We were so glad to come home!!! I missed Payton and Scarlett a ton. I was glad to be home and be able to rest! It's been a week now since I had Mckinley and I am slowly getting better everyday! I have a ton of help so its been easy dealing with the kids! Josh is a champ!

Swim Lessons Summer 2012

Payton spent two weeks in swim lessons at the beginning of June. He was a little nervous at first, but he did a great job. He repeated the class that he had done last summer because he wasn't quite ready to move to the big class in the big pool. He was able to take the class with 2 of his friends. (Mo and Austin)
Day 1
Day 2
Patyon, Austin and Mo waiting for the class to start!
Payton, Austin and Mo in the train line ready to head over to the little pool as a class.
At the end of each lesson every day they would play a few games and sing some songs. Payton is the one with the blue swim shirt on.
Each day Melanie, Krista and I would watch our kids. Scarlett and Viliami didn't take swim lessons so they would sit and eat together.
Day 3
Payton loves being silly for pictures!
Payton in the white swim shirt.
I love that you can see his big smile on his face. He really did love every day in the pool. The difference between this year and last year is huge. He is so much more confident and comfortable in the pool. He wasn't afraid to try anything.
Day 4
Payton and Mo ready to head into the pool with their class!
Scarlett just hanging out with mommy while brother learns to swim.
Day 5
They actually went into the big pool on day 4 but I forgot to get a picture! Day 5 they didn't even get into the little pool to start, they headed straight to the big pool! Payton is wearing the white swim shirt.
Having all the kids get into the big pool!
Practicing swimming with his teacher!
They taught them to put their heads under the water and blow bubbles, they had them do bobs while holding on to the wall. They taught them to kick their legs and use their arms. Last year Payton would have nothing to do with any of it, but this year he actually trusted his teachers and would let them let go of his arms while he would attempt to swim to the next teacher.
He did such an amazing job. He needs to practice kicking his legs and moving his arms at the same time still, but the fact that he never cried or got scared is a huge improvement!
Swimming from teacher to teacher!
I can't believe how big he is becoming all the time!
Day 6
Each day they would practice the same things.
They even let the kids jump to their teachers. Payton of course loved this.
Day 7
Scarlett insisted on having a picture of herself! I love this little girl!
Working on his big kicks!
Doing such a great job at swimming!
He made a lot of improvement over the 7 days that he had swim lessons!
We are very proud of Payton!!!
Next time he does swim lessons he will definitely move to the next level which will be in the big pool.
Day 8 we missed because we were off camping @ Pinecrest!
Until next summer!!!

Josh's 31st Birthday

We celebrated Josh's 31st birthday last Thursday! Its hard having his birthday and fathers day so close together. Plus this year with me being so pregnant! Once again the kids and I did our best to make his birthday a little special for him.
While Josh was at work we went to the store. We bought balloons, streamers, cupcake mixes, and a few little gifts.  The kids were so excited to decorate the house and get everything ready for dads birthday. His actual birthday was a busy day. He got home from work late, the kids had him quickly open his gifts and we had to rush out the door so he could make it to his last 2 softball games. He played in the games from 6-8, then we got some dinner, came home and had cupcakes.
The kids played with the balloons constantly! They loved them!
Payton carried the cupcakes with candles in them to Josh and we sang to him.
It was a busy night, but I know Josh felt very loved and special!
The kids and I bought him a Star Wars shirt, some jeans, and some shorts!
Josh is a vary proud father! Payton and Scarlett just adore him a ton!!! I know it wasn't the best birthday he has ever had, but he did get spoiled and got a lot of gifts. He had boughten himself 2 of the most expensive GI Joe figures on ebay a week before his birthday, and then the day after his birthday his cell phone decided to completely stop working so he ended up getting a knew cell phone also. I would say he was totally spoiled. He got an old school GI Joe movie from his mother, a bunch of GI Joe vehicle stickers for a number of GI Joe vehicles that he has, and het got paypal money from Stef and Dawson so he could buy 2 more GI Joe figures that he needs. I believe out of the 300 plus GI Joe figures total that their are he has like 9 or 10 left to get! He is getting so excited about getting so close to having his GI Joe figure collection almost complete!
I never knew the extent of this collection when we got married, but it really doesn't bother me. He absolutely loves building his collection and loves that Payton is becoming just as obsessed about it. I love Josh so much and he deserves it all!
