Summer is coming and the school year is over!
The last week of school the kids spent lots of time in the pool and if we drove anywhere later in the day they would each pass out in the car!
I had the privilege of helping at Payton's school for their field day! It as so much fun!
Each teacher was responsible for a station. So their were 14 stations that each class in the whole school rotated throughout the whole day.
It was a warm day so they had a bunch of water activities at the various stations and the kids loved it.
Payton and I enjoying our lunch together!
During our lunch break the firemen brought their firetruck and sprayed water out the firehose off their ladder. The kids loved this! They got soaked!
Payton with two of his friends from school. (Payton, Chris, Jayden)
All the activities were welling planned and organized. The school did a great job keeping each class together and keeping everything running smoothly.
Payton and I had a wonderful time and I was very pleased with the entire day. I fell very blessed that the school is doing so many great and wonderful things just in its first year.
Mrs. Reeves was Payton's 1st grade teacher! WE LOVE HER! She was amazing. I got to know her while I helped in the class as much as possible throughout the year. Payton helped me make her these blocks as a little 'thank you' gift. I can't even fully express how much I have loved this first year at River Islands Technology Academy! The principal is amazing and all the staff members are great. I am extremely happy with my decision to put Payton in this school even though it was brand new. I was a little sad to end the year, but am looking forward to the many more years we will have at this school. I can only hope Mrs. Reeves will always teach there and that my girls will be fortunate enough to have her as their teacher. She really did so much for Payton. He grew leaps and bounds in 1st grade. He isn't a little boy anymore he is become a big kid. I am so proud of him and all he is accomplishing. I know he is very excited to become a 2nd grader now. Man the time is flying by! Hurray for SUMMER!
