Baby #4 has ARRIVED!

The big day came. On the 13th I was having contractions pretty regularly so Josh and I headed to the hospital that even once the kids were in bed. Krista came over to be with the kids. We ended up getting sent home because my contractions were consistent but not strong enough. I figured at that point forget it I will not be having this baby early. Then on Tuesday the 17th I was losing some blood and they told me just to watch and see if it gets worse. It never did. I had my appointment that next morning on the 18th. I knew at that point I would be checked and hopefully be sent to the hospital. Wednesday the 18th came and I went to my appointment. I talked with my doctor and let her know everything that was going on. She checked me and at that point I was about a 4. She also didn't like that I was losing some blood so she said to me, "How long will it take you to get to the hospital?" I couldn't believe it. I was actually being sent to the hospital to have this baby. I told my doctor though that I didn't want to go to the hospital and have them just send me home again. She told me don't worry about that I will call them right now tell them my concerns and make sure that they get you all set up and put on pitocin. I called Josh told him we needed to drop the girls off with a friend and he and I needed to head to the hospital. We got to the hospital about 12. I got to by pass the whole check in area and got put directly into my room. At this point I thought well its really going to happen, they won't send me home now, I'm actually in a delivery room. Nurses came and got me all hooked up to machines. I got settled in and they began the meds.
I was still feeling pretty good at this point.
They upped my dosage of pitocin and then the contractions began to get a little more intense. This is my look of I am in pain but not horrible pain yet. At about 4 my contractions were getting more painful and I thought I don't won't to feel this pain anymore so I had the nurse go and get the anesthesiologist. She comes back and tells me he is in a delivery room and can't leave yet. I couldn't believe it. I had to keep dealing with the pain. She gave me a dose of some pain meds and told me I had to wait and hour before getting another dose. At first the pain meds helped, but then The started wearing off and the contractions were 'bad'. I was crying through them and clinging to the side rails of the bed. I could NOT handle the pain. I have never felt that much pain ever before. (haha, yes it was my 4th kid) The nurse came in and she said I needed to wait another 10 minutes before getting more pain meds. I thought I was going to die. She gave me another dose and it did help for a while. It too began to wear off after a while and I was back in that same amount of pain if not worse by then. Shortly after 6pm the anesthesiologist came in. I was so relieved!!! Once he got me all set up I was so much more comfortable. My two good friends Mel and Krista came to see the delivery. They showed up shortly after I had gotten my epidural. My two sister in laws Liz and Tracie showed up a little after 8pm.

I had asked to be checked at that point and the midwife was surprised that I was at a 10 and ready to push. I had no clue. I began pushing and they got the room all set up for baby girl to be born. Laynie Agnes Robertson was born at 8:59pm. The actually delivery wasn't that bad. I had a lot of cheerleaders in the room and they were wonderful support also. Krista and Josh had my legs, Melanie took some pictures, and Tracie and Liz watched. It was kind of fun having a full room. My midwife was amazing! She was very good about explaining everything and answer all our questions through the whole process. Once Laynie was born and we did our bonding time they took her and cleaned her up. While she was being cleaned up I pushed the placenta out and then asked if I could see it. I had never seen it before and I was curious. The midwife showed us all it and we each touched it. It was pretty amazing. It was like we had a mini lesson about the placenta.

We then enjoyed our bonding time. Laynie had a little bit of a cone head, but other than that she was perfect.

I recieved this picture from Ann showing how my Grandma Tani got to see a picture of Laynie. My grandma has no concept on how to use electronics so with her its a little more of a challenge. But she lives with Ann who does use electronics so she is able to be kept in the loop. Ann is great at showing grandma all the pictures. I love it.

She had quite a bit of hair.
The next morning Laynie was able to meet the rest of the family.
Our first family picture as a family of 6!

The kids were thrilled to meet her and hold her.

I insisted on being able to go home the next day since I really don't like being in the hospital. I got released about 9pm that next night.

All set and ready to go home!

A weekend at G&G Robertson's house

Sometimes I wonder where does all the time go and why does it go so quickly?! I feel like we haven't stopped and we are just going all the time. I'm not complaining about it, I'm just stating a fact.
Scarlett had her 5 year old check up/physical for Kindergarten and we were able to get all her paper work turned into the school. The girls enjoy when I do their hair before bed so that it can be "curly" in the morning. This was my first ever attempt of a french braid for Mckinley and I was surprised at how well it turned out.
We were able to head up to Oroville for the weekend so that we could enjoy time with family and also so we could hear Kelsey speak in church on Sunday.
We convinced mom to get on the kids new quad and take it for a ride in the grass. It was fun to watch payton giving her the run down on how to work it. She did great!

We enjoyed the beautiful sunshine in the backyard while we made the kids play outside most the day.
Ella and Scarlett performing 'Let it go' on their rollerblades. These two girls just love being together. They get along so great and have so much fun together.

The kids did some painting in the backyard
We even convinced them to pillow fight on the balance beam.

We were also able to go and watch Madalyn and Olivia's basketball game.

We also got to watch Jaydn play in his basketball game.
After church we headed right home so that Josh could leave for work. We had a wonderful weekend!! We love being close to family and being able to have cousins for the kids to play with. Our life is very blessed!

I was very tired and just not feeling the best so Scarlett and I made grumpy faces to post on the Cambra Family Group Me.
This is my 37 weeks picture. I feel like I have been pregnant forever and I am so ready to be done. I can't wait to meet baby girl!
