Easter Weekend!

The weekend began with my being able to go and help in Payton's class for half the day.
They had an Easter Egg hunt!
All the kids had a great time. I love being able to go help out in the classroom!
 Here they are again! Cheese!!!!
We were super lucky to be able to have Grandma and Grandpa Robertson and Michael come to our house for the weekend. Saturday morning we colored eggs.
Mckinley got her own special painting stuff so that she wouldn't make a huge mess with the liquid dyes.
 Showing off their beautiful smiles!

Payton and Scarlett were able to get Uncle Michael to play with them on the trampoline. They loved that!!!
Easter morning came and the kids didn't even wake up us. Us adults all woke up and it was quiet, but when we came down stairs they kids were just sitting on the couching watching tv waiting for us. They looked at their Easter baskets, but didn't go through them. Silly Kids!
All ready for the egg hunt in the backyard!
We hid a TON of plastic eggs filled with candy in the backyard.
They loved searching for them all!
Mckinley finally caught on and got excited with each egg that she found!

After the egg hunt we had to get a picture of us all. It's not our best picture, but it's real life. We had a wonderful Easter weekend. We were so glad to have grandma and grandpa and Michael with us!

Random

Mckinley is growing and changing all the time. She is definitely not a baby anymore.
She has a personality that only we see in our home. She is too shy around everyone else.
Payton begged to go play tennis for over a week. He is getting better which is nice.
Over General Conference weekend we headed down to Aunt Christy's. Kevin and Liz came also with their kids. All the kids were obsessed with singing 'let it go' from Frozen.
Ella, Mckinley and Scarlett singing)
The loved jumping on the trampoline!
They even had a little picnic in the backyard

Saturday night we headed over to the high school so we could watch our Nephew Braden in his school play. "Bye, bye, birdie"
He's the bar tender in these pictures.
Sunday we continued watching conference. The kids loved the 'conference candy'
Kevin and Tommy were struggling to stay awake. After the last session we all headed home. The weekend was fun and uplifting. We love being able to spend time with family.
Mckinley LOVES her barbie princesses and princes.
I was sitting at the desk working and this silly little girl asked to be wrapped in this blanket. A few minutes later I turn around to see her laying on the ground asleep.
Cheesey faces all around!
We found a sweet deal on crags list and couldn't pass it up. We got a trampoline for the backyard!
Mckinley just being herself!
Since Payton is at school all the time I hardly get any pictures of him. Scarlett is always asking me to take pictures of her and Mckinley. She loves when Mckinley is being cute and sweet. She usually says to me, "awe, mom look, take a picture of Mckinley and I being cute'. Its very sweet and I love that they get along.
My girls just being themselves.

My first experience getting a call from Payton's School

It was Monday afternoon and Scarlett and I were playing Mexican Trans and Mckinley was asleep for her nap. I got a call on my cell phone, but didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. We kept playing and Scarlett was singing "Let it go". I listened to my voice message and couldn't help but feel like such a bad mom for not answering. The message was from the office at Payton's school. They left a message saying he got hit in the face by a ball during recess. I quickly called the school right back and they handed to phone to Payton. He was able to say "hello" but that was it. He started crying and the office lady got back on the phone. I told her I would be right down. I got out of my pajamas, got Kin out of bed and the girls and I headed to the school. We walked into the office and there he was sitting on the seat with the yard duty. He lost it when he saw me. I felt so bad for him. I brought him home gave him some medicine and then we snuggled on the couch. I had asked him what happened and he was kind of unclear about what was happening. He said he was playing kickball and the ball hit him. He didn't fall down, but it shocked him. The yard duty said he tried to run from her because he was embarrassed. Im just glad he was taken care of. I felt so bad for him. He fell asleep and rested for a little while once we got home. We had friends over that evening and he seemed ok.
It was at bed time that he fell apart again. He didn't want to go to school the next day. He was afraid his face was going to hurt too bad. We talked to him and tried to calm him down. It didn't work too well. Josh gave him a blessing and we had a long talk about what the priesthood could do for him. We had a good talk and convinced him to go to sleep. He woke up the next day and never said a word about not wanting to go to school. He got dressed took some medicine and went to school. Ms. Reeves was very aware of what was going on. She was wonderful and watched him throughout the day. I had told him if it was really bad that he could talk to Ms. Reeves and she would call me. He made it throughout the whole day without a problem. I even got a text half way through the day saying he was doing great. When I picked him up he was good. He even said he played kickball during all 3 recesses. I was very proud of him!
