A weekend at the Cabin

We were able to take a short break from real life and head up to Josh's sisters cabin for 2 days with some of his family.
On the drive up with their snacks

The kids played with their cousins. Cedar and Mckinley
Playing games!

We took sometime and went and found some snow for the kids to play in and do some sledding. Mckinley really liked the snow at first. She loved throwing it at us all.

The girls enjoyed some sledding

My goofy girls!

Mckinley didn't like walking in the snow so she got dragged on a sled.
Payton making snow angels.

Payton also loved the snow. He was rolling in it, throwing snowballs and having a blast.
Cousins and Aunt Tracie building a snowman

Scarlett also loved playing in the snow!
Our attempts at a family picture in the snow.

Aunt Tracie and Uncle John pushing Bren, Cedar, and Mckinley on the sled up the hill.
Mckinley just chilling while I drag her along.
Sledding down the big hill!
Josh and Scarlett going down together.
Scarlett going alone.
Payton was very unsure at first, but he got some pointers from his aunts and cousins and he was able to go down all by himself. I was very shocked. He is my little nervous nelly. I was so glad he tried it because he ended up LOVING it. He was going up and down constantly with his cousins.

Mckinley and Cedar playing with Uncle Rob.
Taking a break from all the fun.
Snowball fight. Basically it was Josh throwing snowballs at Payton. Payton loved dodging them and rolling around.
Mckinley with her snowball.
Over all it was a quick trip, but well worth it. We loved being with family and being able to enjoy the out doors.

BYU Basketball game vs. Pacific Tigers

BYU vs. Pacific Tigers Basketball Game!
We were able to go with some family and we took Payton and Scarlett. We left Mckinley home with a babysitter since we know she wouldn't be good.

These guys made it onto the TV. if you look behind the flag you can see Josh's arm and face and Scarlett's face. In front of the flag is Christy, Camden, Carter and Payton in the corner with his hat on. It was a really fun game!
Mikila and I enjoying our seats and the game.

A New Year

My first post for 2015 had to start off with some amazing pictures of my girls.
Mornings are usually very low key at the house once we get Payton to school.
One night while relaxing with the kids watching tv baby girl was kicking like crazy so I had them each put one hand on my stomach to see if they could feel her moving. Scarlett and Payton could a little but Mckinley had no idea.
Oh you know just taking some random pictures.
On January 8th we had the privilege of having my parents come into town and we got to celebrate Grandpa with Calvin's birthday. We celebrated at Grandma Sam's house and she didn't have any normal birthday candles so we went some house decor ones.
Grandma and Grandpa with Calvin stayed for the weekend. Payton challenged Grandpa at Madden football and Payton lost.
While they played Grandma and Josh took naps.
Scarlett and Mckinley put on a show for all of us.
Josh and Grandpa made some dessert.
Saturday, Scarlett, Grandma and I got to have some girl time to celebrate my upcoming birthday. We got manicures and pedicures.

We then went and enjoyed some ice cream. My birthday definitely began off amazingly. I got to be with my family and my parents. I couldn't ask for more.
On my actual birthday Scarlett made me a little cake and the kids sang to me.
We then headed to Round Table Buffet and met up with my good friends and their families. This is topped my day off. It was a last minute thing but I am so glad that they came and celebrated with us.
We came home and I got to snap a picture of our family. Birthdays are still fun even when you are in your 30's. My family did a great job spoiling me as much as possible even though they each had some nasty cold bug and didn't feel the best.
