Pinecrest: Fathers Day Camping

Pinecrest Camping over fathers day weekend has become a tradition for us, the Drinkwaters, and the Toutais. We just each love it and we love being together!!! The weather was beautiful and the kids were really good.
We spent all day Saturday and Sunday out at the lake. The kids are getting older and are able to go out on the rafts without an adult helping them. (this is awesome) They love the freedom!
Mckinley was as thrilled about the water. She spent most her time right here on the edge playing, and sitting in her car.
The view was gorgeous and there really wasn't a ton of people. The water wasn't too cold so I did get in for a little bit. Scarlett was my floating buddy.
Josh doesn't love the sun so we spent most his time in the shade and snuggled Mckinley for her naps.
V having his nap for the day.
The kids did a lot of this!!! They had a blast. They got along so well together it was really nice.

Mapuana and Austin being cute!

The kids playing in the floating devices.
Sunday we did the same things as the day before. We relaxed at the lake.
Josh took the girls out for a ride on the raft

Payton being cute!
The kids played here the whole time Sunday. They created paths in the dirt that they filled with water and watched the water run down the paths to the lake. The dug around in this area for hours.

Back at camp all dressed and ready for the evening.

We had a little fun fathers day competition. It was the fathers and their kids racing to see who could get their popcorn cooked first. The dads held the popcorn makers over the fire and the kids jumped around and cheered their dads on. It was a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed cheering their dads on and watching the popcorn grow and begin popping.
There was lots of cheering and jumping/dancing around. The kids were very cute!
Monday we loaded up and cleaned camp! We had to get one last picture of all the kids!
Of course we had to get one last picture of us mommies! We didn't even plan our outfits, but obviously we all thought the same about wearing a black shirt! I sure do love these two girls and love that our families have created this tradition!
Mckinley was so good the whole time and never once had an accident. It was a fun camping trip! We each enjoyed not having a little baby. We had no diapers, no bottles, no zippy cups, and no porta cribs. It was awesome!!
On the way home we stopped at Taco Bell! The kids still were not sick of each other and wanted to all sit together. The picture shows Scarlett having melt down about something.
The camping trip was a HUGE success! I love camping. I love my family. I love my friends. What more can I ask for!

Park/ Birthday/ Swim Lessons

Summer is HERE! Not having a schedule and getting to do whatever is kind of nice. The kids and I just kind of take each day and go with it. We have been spending a lot of time at the park with friends.
Mckinley got to ride the tire swing with Payton!
The swings are ALWAYS the biggest hit when we go to the park! (not my favorite)
The kids got to go to our neighbors 4th birthday party across the street.
They loved it!!!!
They where at the party all day! With it being across the street I was able to go back and forth and Mckinley was able to have a nap at home.
We celebrated Josh's birthday!

The kids had swim lessons for a week with Ryan and Austin!

Payton and Ryan got taught by Annie
Scarlett and Austin got taught by Claire
The both have definitely improved since last year. They are becoming more and more comfortable in the water and are learning so much.

Family fun/Teeball is all over

Having a family day is a lot of fun especially when its super low key!
The kids wanted to play some card games so we did.
We then took them to play mini golf. Payton has been begging to do this for weeks. Mckinley did pretty good with the putter.
it was so nice because we went first this it opened so there were not very many people and it wasn't super hot yet.
The biggest problem we had was trying to keep the kids off the green. We had to tell each of them many times to stand on the edges.
It was very fun and the kids loved it.
The kids are still enjoying the pool. Mckinley has yet to have gone in it. She really doesn't like water.
I got to go help at Paytons school a lot during the last week. The kids that reached their goals for their AR program got to attend an ice cream party. Payton loved it! He is becoming such a good reader.
The last tee-ball game ended up being a make up game. A lot of kids didn't make it and the other team only had 4 people so 2 of our kids played on their team. Even though there wasn't very many kids it was still lots of fun. The game went by way faster and the kids got more time to practice various skills. Scarlett improved so much since the beginning of the season. I hope she will play again next year!
Payton loved tee-ball and he can't wait to move up to coach pitch next year. He really started figuring it all out and it was fun watching him improve and grow so much.
Go A's! Payton was #6 and Scarlett was #8
We had a team party and the park and the kids played water balloon tee-ball.
We had closing ceremonies that weekend. It was roasting HOT! The kids stood out on the field for way to long.
Mckinley and I sat in the dugout and tried to stay cool. She eventually fell asleep also which was super nice!!! I didn't even get a picture of the kids at the field because the minute it was over we were out of there and into the air conditioned car. I did make them take a picture with their trophies before they changed their clothes.
