Random

Mckinley is growing and changing all the time. She is definitely not a baby anymore.
She has a personality that only we see in our home. She is too shy around everyone else.
Payton begged to go play tennis for over a week. He is getting better which is nice.
Over General Conference weekend we headed down to Aunt Christy's. Kevin and Liz came also with their kids. All the kids were obsessed with singing 'let it go' from Frozen.
Ella, Mckinley and Scarlett singing)
The loved jumping on the trampoline!
They even had a little picnic in the backyard

Saturday night we headed over to the high school so we could watch our Nephew Braden in his school play. "Bye, bye, birdie"
He's the bar tender in these pictures.
Sunday we continued watching conference. The kids loved the 'conference candy'
Kevin and Tommy were struggling to stay awake. After the last session we all headed home. The weekend was fun and uplifting. We love being able to spend time with family.
Mckinley LOVES her barbie princesses and princes.
I was sitting at the desk working and this silly little girl asked to be wrapped in this blanket. A few minutes later I turn around to see her laying on the ground asleep.
Cheesey faces all around!
We found a sweet deal on crags list and couldn't pass it up. We got a trampoline for the backyard!
Mckinley just being herself!
Since Payton is at school all the time I hardly get any pictures of him. Scarlett is always asking me to take pictures of her and Mckinley. She loves when Mckinley is being cute and sweet. She usually says to me, "awe, mom look, take a picture of Mckinley and I being cute'. Its very sweet and I love that they get along.

My first experience getting a call from Payton's School

It was Monday afternoon and Scarlett and I were playing Mexican Trans and Mckinley was asleep for her nap. I got a call on my cell phone, but didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer. We kept playing and Scarlett was singing "Let it go". I listened to my voice message and couldn't help but feel like such a bad mom for not answering. The message was from the office at Payton's school. They left a message saying he got hit in the face by a ball during recess. I quickly called the school right back and they handed to phone to Payton. He was able to say "hello" but that was it. He started crying and the office lady got back on the phone. I told her I would be right down. I got out of my pajamas, got Kin out of bed and the girls and I headed to the school. We walked into the office and there he was sitting on the seat with the yard duty. He lost it when he saw me. I felt so bad for him. I brought him home gave him some medicine and then we snuggled on the couch. I had asked him what happened and he was kind of unclear about what was happening. He said he was playing kickball and the ball hit him. He didn't fall down, but it shocked him. The yard duty said he tried to run from her because he was embarrassed. Im just glad he was taken care of. I felt so bad for him. He fell asleep and rested for a little while once we got home. We had friends over that evening and he seemed ok.
It was at bed time that he fell apart again. He didn't want to go to school the next day. He was afraid his face was going to hurt too bad. We talked to him and tried to calm him down. It didn't work too well. Josh gave him a blessing and we had a long talk about what the priesthood could do for him. We had a good talk and convinced him to go to sleep. He woke up the next day and never said a word about not wanting to go to school. He got dressed took some medicine and went to school. Ms. Reeves was very aware of what was going on. She was wonderful and watched him throughout the day. I had told him if it was really bad that he could talk to Ms. Reeves and she would call me. He made it throughout the whole day without a problem. I even got a text half way through the day saying he was doing great. When I picked him up he was good. He even said he played kickball during all 3 recesses. I was very proud of him!

Fun, Friends, Awards, Tee Ball, Party, Silliness, Friends & Beauty!

Life just keeps moving forward. We have tee ball 3 days a week, Josh has scouts once a week, and I seem to have something once a week for my relief society calling. The fun never ends!
Most of my days are spent with these two little girlies of mine. We love having pj days, but haven't had very many lately. Scarlett LOVES playing any and all games. She is constantly asking me to play a game. Mckinley usually causes trouble, but we make it work.
We had a day where my house was the boys house and Mel's house was the girls house for a play date. I got to have these 3 boys over and they loved it.
Mo, Ryan, Mckinley, Payton, Austin
Like I said tee ball is 3 days a week so we spend a lot of our time at the park.
Scarlett received her first game ball for doing such a great job at being the catcher.
Payton's school had their 2nd trimester awards assembly so the girls and I went. Thats him sitting with his class in his maroon sweater vest. (which he LOVES)
Payton received an award for being responsible.
He is such a great student and I am very proud of the boy that he is becoming.
Being the catcher is a very popular position! Payton also loves playing catcher.
Scarlett on 3rd base.
Payton went to his first friend from school's birthday party. I got to go also and tag along for the night. He loved it. He just ran around with his friends and they had such a blast. He was mostly excited to see his school friends outside of school.
Mckinley is growing and starting to think she can do anything. She watches her brother and sister pull the stool up to the pantry and open it. That is what she was attempting to do here.
Sour cream is a true love in this family. Each of my kids LOVE to eat it. Mckinley loves to also rub it all over herself.
She thought it was the best thing ever!
These two pictures bring so much joy into my heart. Candace and I met our freshman year of college at BYU-Idaho. We have been close friends ever since. She is definitely someone I will always be friends with. Our friendship is based on long distance. She lives in Idaho with her family and I am here in California. We hardly talk on the phone, but we keep in touch every so often. I am blessed because she has a sister in law that lives close to me here in CA and once a year Candace and her kids make a trip out. This insures us that we will see each other at least once a year. She and I have been through so much together. We have watched each other grow so much. We attended each others weddings. Scott and Josh are pretty similar so its a shame that we can't live closer. Such is life. I will just hold onto and cherish our yearly visits. I am honestly very blessed to have such amazing friends in my life.
These are our kids. They get along really well together. I love it!
Reagan (4), Scarlett (4), Mckinley(1), Chase(6) and Payton (6)
Scarlett always insists that I take a picture of she and Mckinley when they sit and snuggle together. I love that they love each other so much. I hope they are always close.
Tulips make me happy! I planted these beautiful flowers back in the winter. I had forgotten I even planted them in the backyard. When they started to come up I was thrilled. Everyday I look out my back window and just smile because these flowers are beautiful. I am so thankful for such beauty that we can see in this world.
