This and That...

Life just keeps going and sometimes I feel like I just can't catch up with it. October is a super busy month. I am the cause of the crazy life, but its just too much fun and I don't want to miss anything.
Mckinley likes to eat noodles. She will try and steal them from anyone that will share with her.
Scarlett has learned how to ride a bike without training wheels! This girl never stops amazing me. She just puts her mind to anything and she can do it. It's a great quality she has. She makes us proud.
The first day she could barley steer the bike, day 2 she was a little wobbly but was getting it. She couldn't brake or start on her own. The 3rd day she could do it all on her own.
I love the moments when my kids play so well together. Mckinley just loves both Payton and Scarlett.  She loves giving kisses!
Homework in the backyard!
Mckinley just being herself!
Enjoying the snuggling time with Mckinley. This doesn't happen often enough!
Lots of loves and kisses!

This 1 year old thinks she's big enough to be in a big girl carseat. Sorry Kin thats not the case!
Picking up Payton every day from school always comes with either a happy Scarlett or a grumpy Scarlett. Mckinley is usually always tired at this point!
Just enjoying an apple!
Being a princess is a lot of work and requires a lot of accessories!
Just putting together mine and Josh's costume's for Halloween.
Payton enjoying a late birthday present from grandma and grandpa Robertson. Sometimes I think just getting a box in the mail and it being a day or two after your birthday makes the present you get that much better!

Finally starting to get things on the walls in our house and making it feel more like a home.

Weekend get away with friends

We were able to get away for the weekend as a family with our friends. We headed to their grandparents cabin in the woods. It was beautiful! Ryan and Payton's birthdays are 1 day apart. We celebrate their birthdays at the cabin.
Ryan turned 8 and Payton turned 6.
Saturday we set up a little treasure hunt for the kids. They loved it.
They did a really good job going from clue to clue.
The last clue was a treasure map that showed them where they could find the treasure!
Showing of the map and ready to go find that treasure!
They found the treasure down at the little river. They were so excited!
It was such a pretty day. The kids played down at the river for a little while!
(Ryan, Payton, Austin, Scarlett, and Mckinley)
They loved their scary vampire teeth they got in their treasure bags!
They each took a turn shooting the bb gun and skipping rocks. They ate their candy from their bags and just enjoyed being outside.
I love this picture! Cute kids!
The rest the time we chilled at the cabin, played some games, and just enjoyed being away from home. The men took the kids on a little adventure and they saw a buck and played in a giant tree. They had a fun time though.
The kids had a little glow stick show for us parents. It is fun watching them get bigger and watching their creative minds think. The games they make up crack me up.
We had a fun weekend with our friends the Drinkwater's and had wished the Toutai's could have made it. Maybe next time they will. It's so fun having such great friends in our lives!

Birthday Celebration

Got the house all decorated the night before.

He got to open 1 gift in the morning. He got some rescue bots. He of course wanted pancakes for breakfast.
He had to wait all day long until Josh got home to be able to open the rest of his gifts. We had our friends Barbara and Angela come over for presents, dinner, and cake. They are family friends and they love our kids. They live down the street from us and help babysit the kids every so often.
Josh finally got home so the presents began to be open. He got a bow and arrow and pillow pet from grandma and grandpa Cambra.
He has wanted his own pillow pet since both of his sisters had their own. He wanted a penguin one also. Its a good thing he got what he wanted.

He got spoiled with all types of gifts. He was one very happy birthday boy though!
After opening presents we went to pizza with the girls then came back home for cake.
Happy birthday boy!!! Two very tired little girls!
He chose a red velvet cake!
It was a lot of fun having Barbara and Angela over to celebrate with us. It was almost like a real party!
Barbara was awesome and she and Payton each build a robot lego guy. I'm pretty sure this was Barbara's first time ever playing with legos. Payton kept having to help her and teach her. It was very cute to watch them. It was a fun night and a great birthday for Payton!!!
