Girls Weekend

A little over a week ago we had a girls weekend. My 3 sisters and mom all came to California and we spent 3 days in Monterey. It was a blast. To begin the trip we visited and went to lunch with Ann and Grandma Tani! It was the perfect way to start our girls weekend!

The ladies!
Ashley, Mom, Stef, Mal, Grandma Tani, and Jacie
We then headed to 4 Seasons Nail and Spa. Stef, Ashley, Jacie, and I all got pedicures and manicures. Mom got to enjoy a 1 hour facial. We all were treated so wonderful. It was so relaxing and amazing! I have decided this is the best place by my house!
My end result! I just love getting the gel nails done. On Friday it will have been 2 weeks exactly and they still look great! My toes look great also!
Before heading to Monterey we stopped in Dublin at the Bagel Bakery. This is a place that we all just LOVE. They have the best, and yummiest bagels I have ever had. This was a place all 5 of us kids went to when we lived in Dublin and now whenever anyone comes out to visit we always have to make a trip to the Bagel Bakery.

Saturday we went and enjoyed Monterey. We went to Cannery Row, the Mall, and the beach!
Jacie and Stef                                 Stef and Mal
We of course had to take pictures with each of the sisters!
I think we each did a pretty good job of not being on our phones all the time, but I did have to take a picture of Jacie and Ashley texting their husbands. We gave them a break this trip since the both have been married less than a year.
I think this is where Payton gets his picture taking skills. Its too fun taking pictures of yourself!
We enjoyed lunch on Cannery Row at Louie Linguini's

Spending the weekend with my sisters and mom was a blast! Ashley and Stef enjoyed the hot tub at the hotel. I couldn't get it since I am pregnant, but we still hung out and chatted!
My mother and Me! I am 35 weeks pregnant in this picture!
The beach was beautiful!
Fun sister pictures!!!
I love these ladies! It's always an adjustment when new people come into the family. My sister and I have both been married over 8 years. So our husbands are completely comfortable and it feels like they have always been around. We haven't had too many additions in those 8 years, a couple kid, but thats it. I feel that over this last year of adding 2 sister in laws has definitely changed the dynamics of our whole family. They both are so amazing and I love them to death. I give them a lot of credit because they have to put up with me, my sister, and my mom. Us 3 ladies have always been the only women in the family! We know our roles in the family and it works! It's been an adjustment adding 2 more women, but I feel we all have it figured out and they are 2 great additions. I am way excited for when my last brother gets married and she joins this crazy bunch of women that we are. I am even more excited for 3 years to pass after all the marriages are established and we will all be completely set in our roles in the family!
I will ALWAYS be the opinionated one that says way too much!

The beautiful view from sitting in the sand! I could have sat there for a long time if I wasn't uncomfortable from being pregnant!
Ashley and Mom                             Mal and Ashley
Jacie and Mom                                  Jacie and Mal
While shopping at the mall their were times when some of us would still be shopping and some of us would be sitting down relaxing. During one of those times mom, Jacie and I were out sitting so we decided to take pictures! It was a lot of fun, we laughed at the various pictures. I only put the best one on here. Let me just say most of them were of me looking like I had such a fat face!
Stef, Ashley, and Jacie                             Ashley and Jacie
There was a short time that mom, Stef and I went and used the restroom and Jacie and Ashley went and got the car. We ended up not going back to the car right away because we could tell Jacie and Ashley were having an intense conversation. We thought it would be funny to take a picture of that moment so we will always remember how nasty our non caffeinated drinks were that we tried at Star Bucks while waiting!
We spent the last night playing a game and having a blast! We laughed a lot really hard and really got to know each other a little bit more!
Jacie and Mal
We had two 'queen beds' they felt like fills, but thats what us girls slept on. We each shared with each other. The first night I was with Ashley and Stef was with Jacie the second night Stef and I switched cause I had said Ashley takes up too much space, plus she slept facing me. LOL! Josh and I do NOT face each other. It is too weird for me, sorry Ashley I still love you! Mom had her own pull out on the couch in the other room!
Ashley and Stef
I look forward to our next trip which will be next year. I love all my sisters and of course my mom. The weekend was a huge success! Thank you all for making this an important event to be at! I love you!

Memorial Day & Backyard Extravaganza

Over memorial day weekend we spent the 3 days at Josh's parents house. We had such a great time. We were able to visit with Josh's grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Johnson. They live in Utah so we don't get to see them that often. We had a great time seeing them. I just love any chance I get to have my kids spend time with their great grandparents. Mine had all passed away before I could remember and meet them. I hope my kids will remember  these special times with their great grandparents.
Payton and Scarlett love going to Grandma and Grandpa's house. Uncle Kevin and Aunt Liz live by grandma and grandpa and they have 5 kids. The oldest is almost 8 and the youngest is almost 6 months. Our kids and their kids get along SO well. Payton loves playing with Jaydn, Maddie, and Lilly. Scarlett and Ella are a little over a year apart, but they are the same size and play pretty well together also.
Their cousins own these 2 gators and our kids loved driving them around grandma and grandpa's backyard. Payton can now drive them with out any problems, and Scarlett doesn't quite get the turning of the wheel, but she can definitely push the peddle down to make it go.
All the kids did a great time playing and taking turns. They definitely wore the batteries out constantly.
It's so great that they all get along and that they are all about the same age. Payton just adores Jaydn and looks up to him so much. He and Jaydn are almost exactly 3 years apart.
Scarlett loved holding and making baby Thomas laugh. She really will be such a great big sister!
We took advantage of the nice weather out side and went to the fair in Chico. We first visited all the animals. There were a lot of baby animals and the kids enjoyed seeing all of them. We walked around for a little bit, and then let the kids each ride on 2 rides. Payton went on the cars with Ella and Scarlett.
Scarlett and Josh went on the swings. At first Scarlett was a little scared, but after it went around a few times she loved it. She actually would not get off the swing. She was crying and throwing a fit.
Jaydn and Payton raced down this super long slide. They both loved it.
Jaydn of course won, since he is bigger and weighs a little more. Payton didn't care at all. He was just so happy that he and Jaydn got to go together
Our family with Great Grandma and Grandpa Johnson.
Monday we decided on staying at the house and having a
BACKYARD EXTRAVAGANZA!
Josh and Kevin went and bought a little pool and a slip-n-slide for the kids. They also got lots of yummy food for lunch. We had so AMAZING sandwiches with all the fixings you could possibly think of.
The kids loved jumping in and out of the pool. They raced each other on the slip-n-slide.
Payton loved every minute of it! He wasn't' nervous at all. He was so brave. Honestly just over this last year he has started to try more things. It totally helps to have his older cousins around. He will do anything that they do!
Payton loving the slip-n-slide!
Uncle Kevin and Uncle Michael began doing one for the money and tossing the kids down the slip-n-slide. They loved this!!! Even Scarlett loved it! She made sure to get her turns!
It was so fun to watch them having so much fun!
Luckily no one got hurt and they were laughing a lot!
Payton being tossed!
The slip-n-slide was a good idea! It worked really good and collected a lot of water on it!
Of course in the Robertson home these fun toys are not purchased just for the kids! They adults always have to give them a try. Josh definitely had to get in on the action.
Payton and Scarlett loved that their dad was playing with them both in the pool and on the slip-n-slide!
Josh trying to get Scarlett to lay back and relax in the pool!
These 2 loved the pool.
Grandma and Grandpa's backyard has a lot of little frogs all over in some of the plants. The kids each found some and were taking them into the pool with them. I think some of the frogs didn't live for very long. These kids named them and were a little rough with them, but they had a good time.
We enjoyed our amazingly delicious sandwiches and fruit for lunch and then enjoyed some homemade ice cream.
The kids played for hours!
We all had a great day! We played a little badminton, some bocce ball, and enjoyed relaxing in the shade with each other. Your BACKYARD EXTRAVAGANZA was a huge success. Mom and dad have the perfect backyard for this type of thing. We can't wait to be able to do this again!
