Oakland Zoo

Its been quite nice having a family pass to the Oakland Zoo. Thanks Mel for finding them so cheap for us.  Anyways... The kids and I went to the Oakland Zoo a few weeks ago with Krista and her 2 boys. The boys had such a fun time. It was such a beautiful day. We actually were sweating! The worst part about it actually was the fact that my kids had 5th decease (slap cheek). Payton had it the worst. He had a rash all over his body and it seemed to me that the sun made it even worse. All these pictures you can see their bright red cheeks, maybe even Payton's rash on his arms. I did the best I could to try and keep them covered up.
Right when we got there we took the boys on the train. They loved it of course. Scarlett thought it was pretty fun also.
Payton was little grumpy cause he had a melt down right when we got there, but he eventually got over it.
Not the most in focus picture, but wanted to show it.
Payton got to go on one other ride and he loved it. He went on these little cars last time. He thinks they are so fun.
Scarlett just hanging out while Payton is on the ride.
Payton cared more about sitting in the wagon and eating snacks than he did about getting out and looking at the animals.
See no interest in the giraffes at all.
Scarlett on the other hand was excited about the animals
Playing in the kids area while we ate our picnic lunch.
Just enjoying the day at the zoo.
The 3 boys playing on the animals
Payton the turtle!!!
It was a very fun day! I am glad I get to be a stay at home mom with my kids and we can do things like this during the day with friends while the dads work the bums off. (Thank you Josh!)

Kiddo's Out-the-Wazoo

These are just a few random pictures of my kids. We haven't been up to a whole lot lately, but I have enjoyed capturing some pictures of both Payton and Scarlett. They are both growing and changing so much. I am still in shock that I have 2 kids.
Scarlett's frist pony tail! She looked super cute!
Scarlett loves to chase Payton around the house. They will run in circles laughing so much. It's so fun to listen too. Scarlett even enjoys grabbing onto Payton's shirt.
Very cute brother, sister love!
Playing bubbles out in the garage
Scarlett thinks its fun to grab these stools and drag them all over the house. She loves turning them over and then she usually gets herself stuck in them. She's a stinker.
A be-lated birthday gift from grammy and grampa!
For some reason these two rascals love to make the biggest messes. The thing I don't get is it is usually with everything else in the house BUT their toys!
Scarlett caught in the action of making a mess!

A few weeks ago I took some individual pictures of Payton. I wanted to get some for documenting. He is 3 years old and 5 months here! He is growing too fast. He is such a sweet little boy. He loves to just come up to me randomly and tell me he loves me then he will kiss me on the cheek. It makes my heart melt every time. He and his dad are GI Joe and Star Wars freaks! Payton loves any time that he gets to play in the GI Joe room with Josh. Payton definitely knows more about GI Joes and Star Wars than I do. This boy is becoming more and more like me. He is very smart like his dad, but notices everything just like me. He points out things all the time and everything has its own special place. He will correct you if you say anything wrong. Like tonight I asked him "if he was going to sleep with his Darth Vader", and he said to me "NO mom its a Darth Vader Case". He gets that witty personality from his dad for sure! We love having Payton in our family. He brings so much joy, love, laughter, happiness, and much more into our home.

About a month and a half ago a friend and I took these cute pictures of Scarlett to document her at the age of 1. Scarlett is walking everywhere. She has been for a few months now. As of today she has 6 teeth and the other two are coming in. She LOVES any and all sippy cups. She can spot them all the time and she steals everyones. She can say, "momma, dada, juice, banana, and uh-oh". She loves Dora!  She eats just about everything but LOVES fruit snacks. Scarlett is very smart just like her brother. She understand most everything we say. She tries to sing and loves to dance. Having Scarlett as part of our family is a blessing. She brings a lot of joy, love, smiles, energy, and much for into our family.
Josh and I just adore these 2 kids A TON! We love them more than anything! We are so blessed to have them.

Mickey Grove Zoo

I guess its been almost a month now, but I took the kids with 2 of my good friends and their kids to the Mickey Grove Zoo. Its just a little zoo, but the kids loved it!
Ryan, Brody, Austin, Reyna, and Payton
They were all looking at the snow leopard. It was sleep though and didn't even move!
The 4 boys being silly and crazy
Scarlett started in the stroller but that didn't last long! She wanted out like all the other kids
Payton and Austin in the wagon
Scarlett and Payton just relaxing. Scar just wanted out of the wagon!
 Payton and Austin once again!
Brody, Austin and Payton on the turtle. Brody was pouting cause he didn't want to sit on the head.
Finally he got to sit on the shell all by himself.
 Scarlett checking out the turtles.
 Brady and Payton. What goofs!
Ryan, Payton and Brody waiting for Krista to give them a ride in the wagon. Scarlett just watching to see whats going to happen.
Payton being a stinker. He had just pocked Ryan in the eye and wasn't letting Brody have any space.
 Payton and Ryan super cute!
 Scarlett the cutie!
Payton being himself.
The zoo was a lot of fun. We got lucky and it didn't rain on us. It was a beautiful day. We got to go over the park after and eat a picnic lunch. It was a very fun day with the kiddos.
