Christmas Day

Christmas Day at the Robertson home is definitely not quiet, organized, or boring. It's exactly what christmas morning should be like!!! We had a really nice time with family on christmas morning. That morning was crazy and it was only us a family of 4, another Robertson family of 6, Josh's parents, 3 of Josh's brothers, and 2 sisters. Santa definitely came to grandma and grandpa's house. All the kids got spoiled.  We let all the little kids take turns opening their gifts first, then they left the room and played with their toys while all the adults got their turn of opening their gifts.
Scarlett and Payton's pile of gifts
Payton digging through this stocking of goodies that Santa left for him
Showing me his Zoo Zoo pet he got.
Scarlett enjoying the mess all the gift opening makes.
Scarlett loves Dora. Anytime she hears Dora on the TV she will turn and watch for quite a while. Sometimes she even laughs.
When we originally asked Payton what he wanted Santa to bring him he said, "a yellow remote control thing". We asked him all types of questions trying to figure out what he was talking about. He said it wasn't a car and it wasn't a person. We finally asked him where he saw it and who he was with and he said at that store we went to with Mom, Dad and Scarlett. We asked him if it was Target or Walmart and he said NO. We were stumped for a while. Finally when Josh and I were talking one night about it and trying to figure it out Josh remembered.  He found it online and the next morning once Payton woke up I showed him the picture on the computer and he said. "Yeah thats what I want"!! The thing is we saw this at a little Toys R Us store back in October. He had said he wanted it but we told him he had to wait till christmas and ask Santa. Well, he has an amazing memory!!!
When he started opening the gifts from Santa Payton began getting discouraged. He started insisting that he didn't get the remote control crane that he had been asking for. We kept saying he wasn't done and there were still some gifts in his pile but he wouldn't listen. Finally his cousin Jaydn said, "Payt maybe its this one" as he pointed to the big box. Payton was excited he said, "yeah its that one, I knew I would get the remote control crane". He couldn't even hold back ripping it open. He was so excited I know neither of these pictures show that but trust me he was.
Scarlett finally has her own chair. This was a  definitely needed gift. She and Payton have been fighting over his car chair ever since she started crawling months ago.
Josh open one of his gifts!
Me and Scarlett. Her first princess look.
The craziness of everyone taking turns and opening the gifts from under the christmas tree.
Payton's cousins Maddy, Olivia, Ella, and Jaydn got these John Deer cars from their parents. They had a fun time driving them around in the backyard.
Once we were home I had to get a picture of these two on their chairs. They are just too cute!!!

Christmas Eve

Just be prepared for lots of posts and pictures. I am almost a month behind!!!
For Christmas Josh actually got it off so we headed to his parents house. It was a lot of fun. Payton enjoyed being able to play with his cousins and see their excitement about christmas.
Payton made this in his nursery class before christmas and I just loved it. I think it is super cute! It also taught him more about the meaning of christmas. It was fun ready with him the Nativity and teaching him about Jesus, Mary and Joseph. How grateful I am for Jesus Christ and His birth. I just really enjoying being able to celebrate it every year.
While at his parents house we got to go see some good friends of ours. They had a baby at the end of October. He has made their lives a roller coaster. He was born at almost 21 weeks and was tiny. He were able to go and visit him, Jared and Amber in the hospital a couple of times. He had to have heart surgery and was a camp through that. They were finally able to take him home the week of christmas. What a christmas miracle. He was about 6ish pounds (sorryAmber I can't remember exactly). I was really excited to be able to go to their new house and be able to visit with them. Caiden is such and angel. I could have held him forever. Thank you Jared and Amber for allowing us to come visit!
Christmas Eve night we were able to go over to the Aunts house. Josh has 2 aunts that live in town so his family goes there every christmas eve and eats homemade chicken noodle soup, opens presents, and does a little program. We haven't been at his parents for like 4 years so we have missed out on this tradition for quite a while, but it was really fun to be able to go this year and share it with both our kids. We ate our chicken noodle soup then got to play christmas bingo. This was a lot of fun.
The kids really enjoyed playing and being able to win prizes.
Scarlett couldn't really play cause she would of just eaten the markers.
Ella and Kirsten playing.
Me and Shannon
We used pennies as our markers for the game.
(thats Joel's head and Kevin in the background)
Scarlett was feeling left out! She wanted in on the action.
After bingo we had our program. Joel and Brady sang while Shannon played her recorder. It was VERY fun to watch!!!
Jaydn, Ella, Maddy, and Oliva sang a song. Liz was up there helping them. They were a little shy!
There were other performances but I didn't take pictures of them all. After the program was over the kids got to dress up and act out the story about Jesus's birth and Dad read the story out of the bible. Payton was super excited to dress up, since he wasn't allowed to at our ward christmas party. He got to be a Shepard. He did a really good job.
I think Ella was a Shepard also, she was very cute!
Payton in action
Joseph and Mary riding out on the donkey!

All the kids! They did such a wonderful top.
After the event at the Aunts house we all came back to the parents house and let the kids open one gift from their parents.
They all got some jammies. They loved them. Jaydn and Payton being crazy!
Oliva, Jaydn, Payton and Maddy. They are very cute kids. Payton loves playing with his cousins.
Same group we just added Ella and Scarlett. This was the best picture I could get.
Christmas Eve was so fun!!!

Being a MOM is the BEST!

These two just know how to make you melt and also to pull out your hair. I wish I could saying pulling out may hair is very rare but that would be a lie! But these two definitely make me melt all the time. Those are the times that I forget about all the frustrating, stressful, tiresome, annoying, whining times.
These are just some random pictures I have taken of the kids over the past few weeks. I just love these two. They are so cute!!!
I am just the luckiest mom!!! How could you not love these two! I know I love them more than anything.  I am so blessed to have them in my life.
