Christmas Eve

Just be prepared for lots of posts and pictures. I am almost a month behind!!!
For Christmas Josh actually got it off so we headed to his parents house. It was a lot of fun. Payton enjoyed being able to play with his cousins and see their excitement about christmas.
Payton made this in his nursery class before christmas and I just loved it. I think it is super cute! It also taught him more about the meaning of christmas. It was fun ready with him the Nativity and teaching him about Jesus, Mary and Joseph. How grateful I am for Jesus Christ and His birth. I just really enjoying being able to celebrate it every year.
While at his parents house we got to go see some good friends of ours. They had a baby at the end of October. He has made their lives a roller coaster. He was born at almost 21 weeks and was tiny. He were able to go and visit him, Jared and Amber in the hospital a couple of times. He had to have heart surgery and was a camp through that. They were finally able to take him home the week of christmas. What a christmas miracle. He was about 6ish pounds (sorryAmber I can't remember exactly). I was really excited to be able to go to their new house and be able to visit with them. Caiden is such and angel. I could have held him forever. Thank you Jared and Amber for allowing us to come visit!
Christmas Eve night we were able to go over to the Aunts house. Josh has 2 aunts that live in town so his family goes there every christmas eve and eats homemade chicken noodle soup, opens presents, and does a little program. We haven't been at his parents for like 4 years so we have missed out on this tradition for quite a while, but it was really fun to be able to go this year and share it with both our kids. We ate our chicken noodle soup then got to play christmas bingo. This was a lot of fun.
The kids really enjoyed playing and being able to win prizes.
Scarlett couldn't really play cause she would of just eaten the markers.
Ella and Kirsten playing.
Me and Shannon
We used pennies as our markers for the game.
(thats Joel's head and Kevin in the background)
Scarlett was feeling left out! She wanted in on the action.
After bingo we had our program. Joel and Brady sang while Shannon played her recorder. It was VERY fun to watch!!!
Jaydn, Ella, Maddy, and Oliva sang a song. Liz was up there helping them. They were a little shy!
There were other performances but I didn't take pictures of them all. After the program was over the kids got to dress up and act out the story about Jesus's birth and Dad read the story out of the bible. Payton was super excited to dress up, since he wasn't allowed to at our ward christmas party. He got to be a Shepard. He did a really good job.
I think Ella was a Shepard also, she was very cute!

All the kids! They did such a wonderful top.
After the event at the Aunts house we all came back to the parents house and let the kids open one gift from their parents.
They all got some jammies. They loved them. Jaydn and Payton being crazy!
Oliva, Jaydn, Payton and Maddy. They are very cute kids. Payton loves playing with his cousins.
Same group we just added Ella and Scarlett. This was the best picture I could get.
Christmas Eve was so fun!!!

Being a MOM is the BEST!

These two just know how to make you melt and also to pull out your hair. I wish I could saying pulling out may hair is very rare but that would be a lie! But these two definitely make me melt all the time. Those are the times that I forget about all the frustrating, stressful, tiresome, annoying, whining times.
These are just some random pictures I have taken of the kids over the past few weeks. I just love these two. They are so cute!!!
I am just the luckiest mom!!! How could you not love these two! I know I love them more than anything.  I am so blessed to have them in my life.

Gingerbread House's

For family home evening last week we made some gingerbread houses. Payton really enjoyed putting the candy on and eating it.
I can't believe how easy these are to make now days. I have never boughten a package like this. My cousin actually gave them to us. They are just so easy and you don't have as big of a mess. They are still a lot of work though.
Josh assembled them and Payton and I decorated them. Scarlett really didn't do much. She was too tired.
Payton really did a good job.
He did get very messy. Once he tasted a candy and the frosting he realized they were yummy. It was hard for him not to eat a lot of it.
This is Payton's house that he and I worked on together.
Josh's house he did all by himself.
Once we were mostly done Payton was eating the frosting I had used for the walk way and the grass.
Messy face!
Here he is just swiping his hand across and shoving it into his mouth. He loved it!
Yummy! Frosting!
Josh was about done at this point. He didn't much as much candy and frosting as Payton.
Payton trying to help his dad with his.
Josh's all finished!
Payton and Josh very proud of the gingerbread house's. What dorks, but I love them!
