4th of July

We had a really nice 4th of July! Saturday we went to our friends house and watched the City of Manteca fireworks and let the kids play with sparklers, and poppers. Payton really loved the poppers. He really enjoyed the fireworks also. Scarlett didn't seem to care either way!

Sunday we just got more sparklers and poppers. Payton really enjoyed it a lot. He liked the snakes! Then we watched our neighbors light of theirs. It was a nice quiet day!

Oh yeah! I forgot he had smoke bombs!

The Oakland Zoo

This post just shows how behind I am on my blogging! Some friends and I took our kids to the Oakland Zoo probably about a month ago. We all bought a year membership for half the prize. We were excited to use it. The day didn't cost me anything except the gas to get there and back. Payton loved it! The animals were fun to see. The kids did a lot of hopping around between strollers, and wagons. It was totally a success and we can't wait to go again, and again, and again!

Ryan, Payton, Austin, and Mapuana. This alligator was so still, you could barely tell it was real. The kids really loved it.

Scarlett even had a fun time

This was Payton's first ride all by himself. He is getting too big. He LOVED it!

A Weekend of Celebration

This weekend was full of a lot of celebration. It was Fathers Day and Josh's Birthday. We had a really good weekend. Josh was spoiled. He got everything he wanted and more.
Payton actually took this picture of Scarlett while I was making dinner the other night. I think it's so cute!
Fathers Day morning!

Fathers Day before church. Josh and Payton love to wear matching ties. Uncle Joel has the best neck tie business ever!!
Fathers Day was a lot of fun. We got together with some friends and had dinner. She kids of course all loved it. It was very crazy, but a lot of fun. The food was great!

On Josh's birthday which was Monday we got to go to breakfast with Josh's parents, brought Payton home for a nap, went and saw Toy Story 3, went to eat, and then came home for cake. We had a really fun day. It was Payton's first time sitting through a whole movie at the movie theater. He really enjoyed Toy Story 3. Actually we all did!!
I personally believe that most movie theaters are chilly inside. So when we were all sitting there waiting for the movie to start Payton said he was cold. He asked us for his blanket. Josh and I just looked at each other and chuckled. We didn't bring his blanket. He's almost 3! We told him we didn't bring one but that just made him want it more. So I offered him Scarlett's blanket and she used my hooter hider as her blanket. It was funny!
I made Josh is mega chocolate cake. It was good and very chocolatey.
Josh with his kiddos!
All of us eating our cake and enjoying it.
Scarlett was happy even though she didn't get any cake.
We all did cheers with our milk in honor of Josh's Birthday
Scarlett is so close to rolling over. She did once on Sunday but hasn't since. She is almost 4 months old. She is getting so big!
