Being Home

We got to come home Tuesday night which I was so relieved about. I really don't love being at the hospital. The beds really are not that comfortable, the food isn't the greatest, and the nurses are annoying when they wake you up in the middle of the night and make you feel bad that your baby hasn't eat in over 3 hours.  Over all the hospital stay really wasn't bad. All the mid wife's and nurses we dealt with where very nice and took care of us. But it is SO NICE to be home.
Scarlett is doing great. Payton is slowly getting used to her. The first night he did ask when baby sister was going to go home, but the next morning when he woke up he asked me where she was. He is still learning to be soft with her and be more careful around her, but he's getting there. He has decided though that everything is HIS and he doesn't want to share anything with anyone. He tells me all the time when is dad or grandparents do something that upset him. Like grandpa moved his chair a smidgen, grandma touched his hair, and his dad pushed him over. I would say he is a little bit sensitive, and afraid everything is going to be taken from him. He will learn I hope and as time goes on he will get better.

Ready to leave the hospital
Payton meeting his sister and wanting to help put her shoe back on.

My little family all asleep one night.

Scarletts first bath!

Payton enjoyed watching baby sister get her bath and wanted to help get her lotion on. He also loves watching her get her diaper changed.

Payton trying to put her head-band on her head.

Very Sweet!

Sometimes he likes to hold baby sister and give her kisses, but after a few seconds he starts getting a little too rough with her.

She is just so precious! One of these days I will get a cute picture of her and Payton when he decides to be good.

Scarlett is here!

We are proud to announce the birth of our daughter Scarlett Lucile yesterday March 1, 2010 at 2:54pm. She weighed 8 pounds, and was 20 inches long. We are currently at the hospital waiting to hopefully go home today sometime. Payton has not yet met her cause he can't come to the hospital, so of course we are both so anxious to go home so we can see him and he can meet his little sister.
Right before we left to go to th hospital late Sunday nite.
 Welcome Scarlett!

She is very sweet!

Two very proud grandparents who were able to drive 11 hours to get here and made it to see the birth of their second grandchild. Only 4 more months and they will be proud grandparents of 3. You are next Stef! We love you and you will do great!

Our Last Family of 3 Event

Going to In-N-Out was not the big event, but we went a couple of days ago and while we were waiting for our food Payton decided he couldn't wait any longer so he needed to eat his ketchup. I just had to take a picture because it was very funny to watch him.

Our big event last night was that we went as a family to the Pacific Tigers Basketball Game. We have been before and we really enjoy it. The games are about 2 hours which is just right for Payton. Josh has been to quite a few with various friends and family members throughout the season. The tickets are cheap and kids under 12 are free. Josh is very excited for Payton to get older so they can go together more often. Payton really enjoys it and was a really good boy last night.

Before the game!

Waiting for the game to start!

Here they come! Payton loves the tiger!

It was nice because there was no one sitting in front of us and we were on an end so Payton was able to have a little bit of freedom.

I brought him some stickers to keep him entertained also. He thought it was so fun to put them on my stomach, or so he thought he was putting them on baby sister.

We brought candy also. He loves sour gummy worms!

After a while he took the stickers off me and lined them up around the edge of his shirt. He just amazes me sometimes when he does things like this. I know we didn't teach him . I think he is like his mom and has a very organized mind and likes to keep things in an organized fashion.
