Baby Shower

I just want to THANK everyone who came to my baby shower a week or so ago. It was nice having family there, good friends from my work and the wives from Josh's work that I have gotten to know, and friends from church. I had such a good time. I feel like I got so many fun things for this baby girl. She isn't even born yet, but she is way spoiled. Josh has even had a fun time shopping for cloths for her. Its very cute to see how excited he is to have a little girl soon. Two of my good friends held the baby shower for me. They are absolutely amazing. They did a great job on the games, and food. I am SO appreciative of them and love them both to pieces. It's so nice to feel so loved. Thank you girlies for the baby shower. It was such a success!!!

It has taken me a few days but I got some of the cloths washed and have gotten her room mostly ready!
I got so many bows! I am obsessed with shoes!

Thank you everyone, I had such a wonderful time!!!

Payton's Life

Sometimes I feel like such a lazy mom because there are days that Payton will be in his pajamas for a long time, and he will watch television most the day. But, those are usually the days that I am just trying to get things done or I am being lazy myself.
Payton's life is very simple. He loves almost every cartoon, he likes goldfish, he likes to play out in the rain, follow his dad around and do anything he is doing, he likes to play with friends, and enjoys playing football and wrestling with anyone who will wrestle with him.
This was a morning that he was watching television and I looked over and he had tipped his chair over and was sitting just like this watching television.

He is such a silly boy and has a mind of his own. He definitely knows what he wants.
Lately since it rains all the time, he loves to play out in the rain.

He finds his bike once in a while in the garage and will ride it for a little while. He is getting close to figuring out the peddling thing, but he isn't there just yet.
I just think this picture is so pathetic.
Today I watched my friends little boy so she could get things done without having any kids in her way. Payton and Austin had such a good time together, but like always Payton isn't the kindest and he had to have timeout a couple of times. Payton of course is very possessive of his cars chair and is not a very good sharer. Anytime someone sits in it he has to go sit in it with them. He and Austin lasted a few minutes together.

The two of them also enjoyed playing trains together. They liked them best on the table instead of the tracks.

Payton is such a typical 2 year old. He is growing like crazy, has a mind of his own, plays ok with most kids, is a little rough at times, loves his cousins and friends, sleeps in his big boy bed (which we love), can put his own shoes on, can talk really well, loves to go get his own pj's out of his dresser like at 5:00pm, loves going to church, enjoys story time at night with his dad, loves goldfish and juice, can turn all the lights on in the house, and many more things I just can't think of anymore right now. We are two very proud parents who enjoy Payton most of the time. We are super excited about our soon to be daughter to join our family. We know Payton will love her to pieces once he gets used to her of course.

All that is left to say is I only have a little over 4 weeks left. I am SO EXCITED and can't wait to be able to bend over, walk up the stairs without losing my breath, and lay flat on my stomach again.

The Project

This last week Josh and I went up to Oroville and did a project at his parents house. Like I said in the last post I love projects. The reason I wanted to do this project though was because currently Josh's two youngest brothers are on missions and the room they shared is empty right now. Well, Brady Josh's bro comes home in a week from tomorrow and I wanted him to be able to come to a whole new room, to help him continue to progress and not fall back into life at home. Plus, the room just really needed to be cleaned out and painted. It still isn't completely 100% yet because it needs new carpet, but in time that will come. I totally forgot to take a before picture, but let me just say Liz and I spent all day Monday just cleaning the room out, and we filled 7 black garbage bags and sent them to the trash. Josh, Liz and I spent quite a while filling wholes on the wall before we could paint.
That room has been torn up over the last 32 years when it was first occupied my the eldest brother. It has gone through 7 boys and there was usually always 2 sharing that room. We all know boys are not the cleanest people and they are a little rough with things. So I am sure everyone can imagine what that poor room has gone through. The deep clean and new paint was well deserved.

All the white spots you see on the walls are all the wholes me had to patch up. I have never seen a room with so many wholes on the wall.

After we had painted the room, it looks SO much better.

For those of you who know what that room looked like before this picture you can appreciate the fact that you can see the carpet, that there is space along the walls on the ground, the beds are made, and that there isn't just stuff all over the walls.
((sorry boys for taking all your posters, hats, clocks, and the one other thing (which will stay anonymous.) down off your walls))

This room as you can see is not big what so ever. The closet is really small so its understandable that after occupying 7 boys there was still a lot of stuff lingering around without a home. But now everything has a home even if a lot was sent to the garbage.
I know the Robertson family thinks I am a little crazy because I enjoy doing things like this but honestly I love to organize, clean, and be able to see such an amazing end result.  I also love being able to do things for my in laws because I know they don't have the time, and I feel they have done so much for all 12 of their kids that when ever we get a chance to do something for them its the least we could do to show our appreciation and love to them.
I am SO appreciative of Liz for all she has done to help me and support me in these projects I come up with since she is the one that lives there in town. She is really good about just bringing her kids over and stepping away from her everyday life to help out. I also want to thank Josh for all the hard work he did. This project wouldn't have been such a success if it wasn't for the two of them helping me out.
(I just have to say sorry to the boys if I threw something of value to them away. I am sure I will forever hear that I did and I just want to apologize now. Don't be mad forever!)
