Utah Trip

The trip continued as we made our way up to northern Utah. We had to get Payton a DVD player for the trip since we knew he wouldn't last without watching something. We have to admitt it was the best purchase we made. He loved it. His favorite movie is SHREK. We have probably seen it a million times, but what ever makes him happy we don't mind.

 We were able to stay at my parents house for a week. During our time there we did many things. We got to go and visit with Joshs grandparents. Payton had fun playing with his great grandpas marble game. We also got to visit with his sisters family. We played games there, ate, and watched the kids all play together. Payton loves playing with his cousins. He, Benji, and Packer had a wrestling match on the love sack. No one got hurt, and they all enjoyed it. We also got to go to Chucky Cheese with Joshs sisters family, brothers family, and his brother. The kids all loved it. I have to say the pizza there is no good. The kids didn't seem to mind though. Josh and I just love being able to get together with family. Sometimes thats not the easiest thing when you have 11 siblings all spread out, but we try and appreciate the efforts they make also to spend time with us.

My sister was able to join us at my parents house for Payton's birthday weekend. We were so glad she came up. Payton just loved playing with his aunt Stef. He would make her lay on the ground and the two of them would just laugh. It was funny to watch and listen to.

While there Payton loved bugging my parents little dog Calvin. Calvin didn't love him back so much. He would growl at him all the time. Payton would pick him up, try and wrestle with him, pull on him, and would let Calvin lick him on the mouth. (nasty if you ask me)

We got to and take Payton to this place called Kangaroo Zoo. They have a lot of blow up jumpy houses and games. Payton enjoyed it. He and Josh played baseball and Payt thought that was lots of fun. He loved playing with all the other kids, but wasn't so nice to some of them. He is kind of mean sometimes.

Payton got to spend lots of time with his Uncle Jared, and his grandparents. He would entertain all of us each night with his crazy behavior. He would jump around, dance, wrestle Calvin and just by silly. We all couldn't help but laugh at him. After Payton eats dinner he is like a crazy boy. The problem we had ever night was that we would eat so late and Payton woulde be crazy and wouldn't go to sleep until 12 or so. We didn't mind too much since we were on vacationa and he would sleep until 9 or 10 the next day. 

We had such  a great time in Utah and we loved seeing everyone. It is always hard to have to leave, but thats life. The whole way home Payton would talk about his grandma, grandpa, jared, stef, cousins, and even calvin. We had to explain to him that we were going back to Paytons house. He was sad to be home at first, but he is adjusting to real life again. He talks about everyone all the time. It is so neat to see how much he remembers and the things he talks about. I can't believe how big he is getting.

Dawson and Stef's Home

We got to spend a few days at Stef and Dawsons house. We had a GREAT time with them! Payton justed loved their dog Max, and their cats Adrien and Tiger. He pretty much bugged them all. He thought Max the dog was the greatest. She is such a layed back dog that he pretty much got to do anything with her. He would lay on her, try to wrestle with her, and give her treats (which she would never take from him). The cats learned real quick to stay away from him. If he got near they would hiss at him.

 We did lots of shopping and got to go to a way cool park. We ate lots of course, and Payton loved watching his Uncle Dawson make popcorn in his popcorn maker. Stef and Dawson gave him a way cool scooter for his birthday. He loves it. He can make it go by himself, but he is not very fast thats for sure.

BYU Game and Las Vegas

Josh and I took a 10 day trip to Utah. We has such an amazing time. We got to see lots of family, and Payton got to spend his 2nd birthday out there.

To begin our trip we went to Las Vegas to watch the BYU vs. UNLV game. Stef and Dawson (my sister and brother in law) joined us there and we stayed the night in Las Vegas. We enjoyed the game. BYU WON! Josh was in heaven. Payt enjoyed the game until about half time, then he was kind of done. We all took turns taking him out and letting him walk around. In the 3rd quarter Payton wanted his diaper changed. I went to grab a diaper out of my purse and to my surprise I didn't have any in there. I knew there was some in the car so my sister and I decided to go and get one with Payton. We got to the exit and asked the works if we would be able to get back in and of course they said, "no, you can not re-enter". We both were like, "what the heck". So we thought and I decided I would just find  a mom who had a diaper bag and ask her for a diaper. I found a mom and she probably thought I was silly, but she let me have a diaper and it got Payton through the rest of the game. I was very grateful for her kindness, it saved me a lot of trouble. We were able to finally get him to fall asleep in the 4th quarter. Man, we were all so grateful.

While in Vegas we went and visited the Hoover Dam. That was neat but, we didn't want to get out of the car because it was supposed to take 20 minutes to get there and instead took over an hour. The traffic was SO BAD. We were all done at that point. We also went to the aquarium at the Mandalin Bay Hotel. Payt enjoyed the animals, but liked the glass on the ground that you could stand on and see the animals swimming under you. He also liked the tunnels that were all glass and he could see the sharks swimming all around.

That day if you had asked Josh is favorite part was getting our free chicken. We got free chicken because at the game the night before UNLV scored and right after BYU ran the ball all the way back and scored. UNLV and this chicken place have this agreement when that happens anyone can take their ticket in and get free chicken and fries. We actually all enjoyed our free lunch that day.
